Good but too expensive

Takes less time to dry my thick hair 2. Not as heavy in my hand as my "old" hair dryer 3. Super long cord 4. Like the way my hair looks after I'm done using the attachments Things I do NOT like: 1. Cost - still too expensive for the general public 2. The box it comes in should have a handle for carrying 3. Storing it is a problem in a small bathroom. I am still glad that I purchased it as it has a 2 year warranty and I like the other Dyson product that I own (vacuum; had it for almost 10 years) so I suspect this product will last as well.

I did review and watch several videos on this product before I purchased and noticed many videos were about how to keep curls in with this hair tool. I bought it with hopes I would have luck and my curls would last. So once I used it on my hair the curls were absolutely beautiful but they literally fell fairly quickly. This is with both products that claim to help keep the curls and with no product. I really don’t want to use many products where my hair feels heavy or sticky. But I have purchased all the recommended products that the videos claim keep their curls all day and still have no luck. I get dyson is a great brand but this product is definitely not worth the money. However, if you like that blow out look and have layered hair it does make your hair look nice. So like me I struggle with doing a blow out with a round brush and blow dryer so this allows me to get that look with no issues. But again you could probably get a much more affordable hair tool to achieve those results. So with that I would say don’t purchase if you want curls as if you used a curling iron because you definitely won’t get those long lasting results. Hopefully dyson can figure it out and make a product that does make curls last. Or at least sell this for less than 100$

Posted .Hello Kearie, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Airwrap™ can deliver a variety of styles from voluminous curls, waves to a smooth finish. However, the end result varies and depends on a combination of factors – hair type, hair length, settings you use the product at or how wet the hair is before styling. If you're experiencing curls dropping out, a few tips to help improve would be ensuring the hair is damp before styling, that the barrels are held in place until the hair is dry, and to use the cold shot to set the curls.
If you begin your hair wet, and use the pre-styling dryer prior to curling, you may wish to not dry your hair as much, and then when using the barrels to curl, ensure the hair is completely dry before releasing. If you start with dry hair and use a spray bottle to dampen hair, you may not be getting the hair wet enough prior to using the barrels. You can also experiment with a styling/setting spray once complete to help hold the curls.

I use only a few attachments once in a while but it never gets the hair sleek like a straightener would. If i somehow manage to get it straighter, step out on a cold night, and the hair loses some of it sleekness. I guess it works really well for someone with straighter hair. Otherwise, for the price point i don't think it's worth it. I threw away the packaging, otherwise would have returned it.

I’m 58 now and I’ve had long thick hair my entire life. I would have loved to have this 40 years ago!! Now I love doing my hair each day. Thanks to my husband and son for this amazing Mother’s Day gift. Brilliant
