Don't tell anyone because it is a surprise Christmas gift and she doesn't know about it. That also means I have no direct experience with it.

Not For Me

I gave it multiple tries, but doing the back of my head was ackward and never looked as polished as the photos. It did dry my hair quickly, but I wasn't thrilled with me results. I went back to my round brush dryer and other tools. User error, I'm sure.

Airwrap™ wraps entirely through the use of airflow and the naturally occurring phenomenon of the Coanda effect. Air, when propelled at the right speed and pressure, naturally follows an adjacent surface, entraining surrounding air. The Dyson Airwrap™ styler creates a spinning vortex of air around the barrel that attracts, wraps and curls hair. The combination of damp hair, airflow and not applying extreme heat to hair during the drying process helps to lock in your style, whether you're looking for a straight finish, waves or curls.

The Dyson Airwrap™ styler does come with an included dryer attachment. This is designed to be used with the Airwrap, to take your hair from wet to damp and ready to style and finish drying with the included tools. The Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer is a full-size dryer, which features multiple heat and speed settings.

Not good enough for straightening curly hair

She does a better job with her own blow dryer and tools. For reference, she probably is a 3b for curliness. Guys won’t know what this is, but google that and you’ll see examples of hair curl.

She has just found it very difficult to master, and she believes it is too expensive.
