I replaced a similar Dyson that I had for years. This one literally picks up where the old one left off. Great product as you'd expect from Dyson. I don't the assembly instructions are well done,

Does a good job, works very well. Device is quite heavy for and 87 year old man to push. When I registered the Animal 3, the Dyson website did not let me know they received the entry.

While the suction is fantastic the build quality is severely lacking, while extremely hard to keep clean, most of the handle and build of the vacuum is trash to much flex on the plastic and much to heavy, very dainty plastic parts very breakable. Wand absolutely is not very accessible and creates a structure issue the the main handle. Meanwhile the stand makes it sound like your breaking the vacuum each time you go to use it. It doesn't appreciate rugs depending on the rug. The hose is just lacking to be honest.

Overall this was a solid vacuum however I returned it because the handheld attachment is poorly engineered. It is attached to the spine of the vacuum and does not extend out very far and when you do extend it out it is very awkward to use and trails the vacuum too closely. The previous corded dyson model we had was far superior so I did not find this to be worth $400+. The actual vacuum itself was awesome though and worked extremely well on our thick carpet. I think I'm going to give the newer cordless dyson a shot.

This is my 2nd Dyson. My first Dyson is over 12 years old! I just wanted the newest model since I have pets, and wanted to take advantage of the newest technology. The suction is AMAZING... and has 3 settings (bare floor, low pile, and high pile) that will alter the suction level. I do not love the extended handle though. The suction comes out of the top of the vacuum handle (where the hose feature is) when the vacuum is in an upright position. The hand held hose is kind of a pain to put back when you are done using it. I liked previous versions much better.

How could you not give 5 stars! Amazing to use, suctions very well. The best vacuum I have ever purchased. Would definitely recommend if you can spend a little extra on a vacuum.

This was a replacement for the previous Dyson we had which was damaged (it was dropped). This replacement has suction like you won't believe. About the only complaint is that it's a bit awkward to stand it upright when storing. Other than that, it's great.

It cleans really well but the level of plastic in this thing for the price point is a concern long term I dunno how well it will hold up, but for now it does suck up stuff out of the carpet way better then any other vacuum I've owned, I just dont care for how the handle feels when pushing it, it feels almost flimsy

Bought this vacuum after throwing away one a year for the past 10 years. Love that when you vacuum hardwood or tile it doesn't throw the litter or dust back on your floor or feet. The suction is amazing. The fact that you can take almost all of it apart and clean it is amazing. No more smelly vacuum either!! The filters on this bad boy are amazing! Will never go back to using a Hoover. DYSON FOR LIFE!!

My original dyson was already 10 years old and after an accident cracked the container, I decided it was time to get a new one. Fantastic, outperforms my original one in every aspect

Lightweight and easy to use. I love the oscillation for the ease into corners & tight spaces. It has worked well on my hard floors, area rugs & my shag rug. I love it & I highly recommend it if you don’t have a Dyson.

This is a very heavy vacuum cleaner, although it’s fantastic and vacuum, vacuuming floors, and carpets. I find a joint a little bit hard to manage.

Easy to set setup and use. Love that almost all pieces are removable pretty much impossible for something to get stuck in the vacuum.

I love it; it was worth the investment. Gets carpet very clean, no longer need to use carpet fresh. I love the super long cord; it allows for maximum vacuum time.

I've had trouble with my last few vacuums actually picking up dog hair and dust embedded into rugs. But the Dyson Ball Animal 3 doesn't have that issue. I've been able to easily pick up dog hair, dust, and other debris without damaging my hardwood floors. It is a little more difficult to push than I would like, but I'll take that trade off. I guess eventually I'll get buff arms as a trade off.
