Greatest vacuum ever!

It is too heavy, too cumbersome, and not at all easy to maneuver. It does not go under beds. The accordion plastic storage wand is very difficult to pull out and use because it aggressively self-retracts making it difficult to even use.

Posted .Hi Sofia, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you've found the Ball Animal 3 vacuum to be too heavy. This machine is just over 17 pounds, so it's on par with the weights of our other upright vacuums. It was designed for use on both carpets and bare flooring. When you do clean bare floors, you can disengage the brush bar by pressing the brush bar power button, located next to the power button on your machine. Called support, they said to take the roller off, imo that is not a viable solution. Should be much easier to push. On the end it does have great suction and picks up deep down dirt

For it being so expensive youd think the quality would be better as it no longer turns on after 2 months of use. Not too sure why but hopefully I am able to make progress with a manufacturing warranty.

If you have to use the wand, it doesn’t work well in tight places. Very poor quality for the price.

Got new carpet

We have it set to the highest level and I can barely move it on the carpet which is only between 1/2 to 3/4 in high. I very disappointed with the Dyson as it was very expensive, and the salesman assured me that it would work.

Please note that if you do have thick/special carpeting, it is best to reach out to the carpets' manufacture for the suction limit. If there is to much suction, the vacuum will not work as intended. We always suggest checking your manufacturers recommended cleaning instructions, for the flooring type you're cleaning. The three levels of suction are controlled by the slider on the front of the cleaner head. Slide the suction control to suit the floor type. Also the hose for the handheld is ridiculously stiff making the unit very akward to use. This felt very cheap upon unboxing and unfortunately my first impressions were correct. Buy anything else, Best Buy returned with no issue and I got a shark and am loving it
