We just bought the Dyson - Ball Animal 3. I have already given a review of Dyson, but this is based upon more usage. I welcome someone from Dyson responding to this. I have 9 days to return it and would just as soon keep it, but.. The 'but' is how useless the hose is. The hose is quite long and has great promise, but it seems to be impossible to us it an any reasonable length of extension. First you cannot extend it and keep it extended when you turn the machine on. The suction draws the hose back together with more force than let you maintain a more full extension. You need an assistant to hold the vacuum as you use the extended hose. If the hose has shrunk upon itself, you cannot re-extend it without your assistant holding the vacuum or you turn it off and start all over again. Is anyone able to use the machine by yourself and maintain a fully extended hose? What about someone from Dyson answering? The length of the hose is totally useless. I doubt if we will keep this machine. Can anyone assist us to keep it? Thanks and best

Ok it’s not inexpensive BUT this thing sucks like crazy, like how you expect a vacuum to suck ;) Seriously I can’t explain how much better this vacuum does vs many of the other $100-250 priced models. We have dogs and vacuum fairly regularly with another brand’s pet model. I saw some comments about using the old one then the new so we did. The old pet vacuum picked up a good bit of hair, etc. we ran this immediately after and it dang near filled the container with hair and dirt. Totally worth the money if you have the means to get one.

The suction is great and it’s well made, fairly lightweight but my carpet is new and thick and it’s really work to push it through my carpet. I wish the floor setting went a little higher

Top tier vacuum machine. It powerful and maneuverable.

This vacuum is great! It picks up dirt and dog hair really well. The only thing I’m not happy with is how the connecting hose works. It doesn’t come in and off the same way my old Dyson did and is not as easy to use.

Needed a new vacuum and wanted a dyson. Only issue I have with this model is the head piece tends to fall off sometimes because it’s only one plastic clip that if you don’t do it 100% correct it falls off. Wait for it to go on sale.

We purchased an identical Dyson and after heavy use stopped working properly. We made an appointment with the Geek Squad to have it repaired and upon arrival, they gave us a gift card to purchase a BRAND NEW Dyson! Such great customer service and care.

Good suction but a little hard to push on thicker carpet
