It gets the job done just like the older version, the manueverability is alittle more stiff but there are different upgrades on this compared to the old. Its still brand new to me but I would recommend if your looking for another Dyson vacuum.

That one died and this seemed like the perfect replacement. Great suction, they extended the length of the hose, changed the ball to more of a plastic than rubber so hair doesn't stick to it. Love my Dyson!

Feels like it is going to suck the carpet fibers right out (it doesn't of course). Just a really deep clean!

The worst and most expensive vacuum I’ve ever had!

It does not operate well on carpet or flat, hard surfaces. Suction from the vacuum is terrible. The head falls off all the time. It is hard to stand the vacuum up after you have been vacuuming because the mechanisms just don’t operate smoothly. It is extremely heavy. While the wand suction functionality works well the hose is so rigid and in flexible that it is hard to operate just the hose itself to suck debris from corners and baseboards. I have actually pinched myself between the ridges in the hose when it retracted to go back in its holster.. this vacuum is extremely hard to maneuver. If you vacuum up tissue off the floor, forget it it will not pick it up. It will just break it in 1 million pieces and leave a bigger mess than when you started emptying the vacuum through the filter list canister is very easy but overall, I would not recommend this vacuum. In fact I want my money back. I paid over $400 for this vacuum and I’ve had way better vacuums for under $100. Dyson if you are listening, give me a call. I want my money back also because of this experience, I will not be buying anything else with your brand. Too bad because I was interested in your hair care products.

Hard to Push on Carpet

This one, for some strange reason, is hard to push on carpeting. Pulling is fine, but it is harder to push than it should be. I’ve only used it for a month so maybe it’s in its breaking in period? Strange.

I ran my old (high end HEPA) vacuum a few passes on an area rug then ran the Dyson. I couldn't believe what it picked up even following behind the old (high end HEPA vacuum) it was replacing. Satisfied.

Simply the best vacuum available
