I purchased this vacuum, as it was on-sale with a pretty significant discount. I have 2 dogs, one of which is a German Shepherd that sheds like NO other! I go through vacuums more often than I'd like, so I'm hoping this one stands the test of time a little longer than other I've purchased for less money. I like the maneuverability, although, due to its construction, cannot get under small spaces. One MAJOR complaint that I have is the detachable hose. It is NOT the easiest to use. I feel like a contortionist when I need to use it. I wish I could articulate how annoying it is. Other than that, I feel like it gets up as much dirt and dog hair as any other unit I've owned, if not more. I also own a Shark, that I use in another area of my home, which is comparable in picking up dirt and hair AND the detachable hose is almost as annoying to use. I'd give 5 stars if the hose was easier to use.

Dyson are a great vacume and worth the money woll alway buy another .

Works great. We have large dogs, and this vacuum cleaner works as advertised.

I use this every other day for my golden retriever's hair and it is incredible. I have never had such a clean home, both because this vacuum is amazing and it makes me actually want to bother cleaning because it just works everywhere. Hardwood or carpet, this gets the job done and should be what all pet owners purchase.

Assembly was straightforward, clear instructions. The "ball" is fine for maneuvering; weight requires arm strength. We have two cats, 0 dogs/kids. No stairs. The straight end of the attachment tube is difficult to maneuver with areas within 1'-3' away. Happy overall.

I was a bit hesitant on purchasing this seeing the price but I’m glad I took the jump and bought it! It’s hard finding a good vacuum cleaner since I have pets and this one has not failed me yet. It sucks up dirt and hair with great power and helps keep the house clean.

My second Dyson!! My first Dyson lasted 15 years so I decided to buy another, in hopes it lasts as long.

This is one of the best vacuums my only gripe is the extension the comes out is not nearly as good as advertised and doesn't go very far its actually pretty frustrating to use because it doesn't extend more and pull the vacuum. Other then that best vacuum for pet hair on the floor

Great vacuum no complaints about its ability to clean. The only downside is that it’s so heavy and hard to push/pull.

I thought my carpet was clean but after using the Dyson vacuum I was surprised how much dirt it pulled up.

This is my second Dyson the first i gave to my mother and i biught this one for myself. Absolutely great suction power.

Best vacuum ive ever owned for sure. The only part of the vacuum i thought was a bit disappointing was the hand vacuum tool part. Its a little bit awkward to maneuver if you want to clean something flat that is higher than your vacuum, but its not a dealbreaker!

I have two german shepherds and there is no othwr vaccum that even comes close to the Dyson Ball animal 3

Terrific vacuum with unbelievable suction. Great maneuverability and versatility. Significantly preferred over a cordless version which have a limited capacity. We absolutely love it. Highly recommend.

Vacuum kept breaking due to pet hair getting tangled. Have only needed to fully clean the bottom brush once in the year we’ve owned the vacuum. It cleans everything we need it to with ease.

As someone who doesn’t spend this much of household appliances often this has always been a dream vacuum of mine and man it delivers. My apartment is 90 percent carpet and I have two cats and it picks up stuff that I didn’t even know was there. I’m in love.

After many years of only purchasing the other big name brand I really wanted to like this having high hopes based on all of the hype but it was a giant disappointment. It is possible that ours was just defective but I suspect that these were just design flaws. Right off the bat it was super frustrating that I could not transport it around the house on the back wheels (turned off and moving room to room) without the wheels popping back and collapsing the entire unit to a vacuuming position making it almost impossible to push when turned off. Then while vacuuming twice the head just fell off even though I had been sure to lock it in place after the first time it fell off. The suction was pretty decent but I'll just share that I had returned this and immediately went back to that "other" big brand and when I came home to test it out it had almost a half of a canister still filled even after having used this. Bottom line; it wasn't worth the time for me.

These are the best vacuums! Especially if you have pets.
