    Extremely disappointed, broke in first use. Would not stand upright. Also the hose for the handheld is ridiculously stiff making the unit very akward to use. This felt very cheap upon unboxing and unfortunately my first impressions were correct. Buy anything else, Best Buy returned with no issue and I got a shark and am loving it

    Vacuum sucks, No really...

    This vacuum doesn't really work as advertised, plus the head falls off all the time. We are still considering returning the unit.

    Best vacuum ever if you have pets

    This vacuum is more than I could imagine. I didn't think anything could remove the dog hair from my carpet and area rugs. I am truly impressed. I should have gone this route the first time instead of buying cheaper vacuums.

    Great and improved from old model. Still lacking in one aspect though hair still gets caught in the vane even though it has a “detangling vane”. Still helps though and isn’t nearly as bad as old model.

    Got this animal 3 because my animal 2 was making some weird noises after about 4 years of reliable service. Don’t think it’s as good as my old animal 2 but I’ve only had it for about a month.

    I absolutely hate this vacuum! If all you want to vacuum is the floor and NEVER use the hose, then it is a good vacuum cleaner. The hose is so stiff when trying to use it that it takes two people to be able to use the hose because one person has to hold the vacuum while the other one tries to use the hose.

    Hard to maneuver

    Great suction, but very hard to maneuver. My wife did not like how hard was to move it around, so we returned it.

We always suggest checking your manufacturers recommended cleaning instructions, for the flooring type you're cleaning.     This is the worst vacuum I have ever purchased. It has scratched my hardwood floors on numerous occasions. My floors are ruined. I will go back to Miele. A superior vacuum.

    Could not be happier with this vacuum - it provides an incredible amount of suction, it has a high quality construction, and there’s many intelligent features built in that make it a joy to use. This is actually my second Dyson ball vacuum - sadly, my ex-wife took my original ;) That vacuum was amazing and am super happy to have this newer version. The construction is top-notch. Everything is tight, solid, and durable. For reference, the original I had was over 3 years old and it performed just like new after many years of using it to clean up after 2 dogs and a couple cats. This newer version actually feels a little more robust so I am sure this will last just as long if not longer. In terms of cleaning power, this could be the main reason Dyson is so popular. It provides quite of bit of suction for everything from floors to furniture. The main head on the bottom of the vacuum has 3 different modes from hard surfaces like tile and hardwood to light carpet to thicker carpet and it does a great job at picking up pet hair even with the deepest of carpets. This version of the Ball Animal 3 comes with a combination tool (nozzle and soft brush) as well as a stair tool. The stair tool has these little velour strips that helps pick up hair from carpets and that works well. If your pet (or other humans - no judgement) shed a lot hair, you may want to consider the Ball Animal 3 Extra which runs $100 more but that comes with the Pet Groom Tool as well as the Tangle-free turbine tool. I had the tangle-free turbine tool on my last Dyson and found that to be a fantastic tool for cleaning cat hair from furniture. The other thing about Dyson products are the smart features that make it super convenient and also eco-friendly. The canister for storing debris easily pops off with a single button and then a secondary button releases the bottom of the canister for emptying easily into a trash can. The hose is built right into the handle of the vacuum so there’s none of that additional hose that you have to loop around the vacuum or anything like that. It’s all integrated. In addition, there’s also eco-friendly features such as a washable filter as well as even how Dyson products are packaged. 99% of the packaging is completely recyclable. There’s a reason Dyson products are so popular and I’m super happy to add this to my other Dyson products.

    The beater bar was difficult to attach and it kept coming off at random. This was frustrating when trying clean. Then when the filter got full it started spewing dust everywhere. The filters needed to be washed and let dry for 24 hours which inconvenienced me to no end.

    Sooooo disappointed in this vacuum. It’s incredibly hard to push and pull, not at all like my old Dyson. The settings can be changed, but it doesn’t help. I hate using it.
