I have severe allergies and this was a selling point for me. There are no bags to buy and all the filters are washable. This vacuum has a generous extension hose and the center of gravity is low so you don't have to worry about it tipping over. These are things I never thought of before I got a Dyson.

Cheap Plastics Mean NO Longevity,

There is 3 years warranty by Dyson but not warranted on broken parts. Reason I bought this vacuum because it was on sale during black Friday.

We would not expect to hear that you're having an issue with parts easily breaking on your machine. Dyson machines are made from polycarbonate ABS, which is same material used in riot shields and crash helmets. They are tough, so we subject them to 50,000 hours of testing and 550 individual tests – all to ensure that they can withstand a lifetime’s hard use. Cumbersome Disappointment.

It doesn't clean hardwood floors good because of the head design. It's hard for me and my family to maneuver as well. Forget trying to use the hose attachment because it's the most awkward thing to use. I'll be selling this and switching back to Shark.

I owned the previous model for years prior & finally set it out to the trash as I couldn't get the pet smell out of it. This model feels cheap. The accessories are flimsy cheap feeling. It falls over quite a bit as well. I would return this if I were able. I am truly disappointed as this is an expensive vacuum for the quality. Dyson used to be the premier and gold standard but no longer.

I'm also sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with your Dyson Ball Animal staying locked in to the upright position. There will generally be two clicks that you should get when putting the vacuum into the upright position. These clicks are not always noticeable unless put into the upright position at a slower speed. I would recommend putting the unit into the upright position at a slower pace in order to listen to the clicks that occur in order to troubleshoot the problem. One click will be the wheels of the vacuum going into place. The second click will be the wheels locking into place. It is important to ensure the second click occurs as without the second click, stabilizer wheels are not able to lock securely into place.
