I vacuumed with my old vacuum cleaner first and then with the Dyson and it pulled out 3 times the amount of dirt and lint the old one did. THIS THING IS AMAZING!!! TOTALLY WORTH THE MONEY and I am never going back to conventional vacuum cleaners. I recommend it, get one you will not be disappointed, now I am using it every other day.

Would I have paid $500 for it? NO. Did I pay $289.99 for it? I did! Is that a good value? YES. This thing really "fluffs up" the carpet and has fantastic maneuverability. I don't think it's as heavy as some reviews make it out to be. About the same weight as the Bissell its replacing. I would recommend.

This machine does include a tool holder that attaches to the machine and it will hold 2 of the included tools, on board. The other one was more expensive; however, by the time you replace the filter a couple of times, you could have paid for the better model.

The Dyson Ball Animal does include 2 filters that require maintenance every 3 months. This consists of simply rinsing the filters under cold water and allowing to dry for at least 24 hours. The filters shouldn't need to be replaced as long as they are properly maintained.
