I currently use a rainbow vac and love it but it’s so bulky I wanted this for those fir a quick sweep. This isn’t it. I have thick plush carpet and I used it for about 60 seconds and turned it off. I’m a fairly strong gal and this was absurdly hard to push. My. Can would have been killing me if I had kept going. Two thumbs down for me.

I've had the more expensive Dyson for Animal and loved it. Now this Dyson - Ball Animal Upright Vacuum - is more lighter than the other one. Being elderly it is much easier to push around. It does the job of larger one. Just love it.

I had a Dyson vacuum which lasted me 10 years, and this is with me using almost every day. That vacuum finally died on me, so I ordered this one, and what HUGE mistake. It is poorly made, nothing like the previous one I owned. I thought Dyson would never change the quality of their products, but they have. I will never purchase another Dyson after this one. These vacuums are not cheap, so you expect them to be of high quality; what a disappointment

I was astonished at what it picked up on my first use. It's great with pet hair. My wife smelled the difference when she walked in after first use. It is much bigger and heavier than my other Dyson. Not for the meek.

However it does not adjust high enough for the new carpet with a premium pad. It sinks into the capers and seals against the pad making it impossible to move until it’s turned off. Overall, I am not happy with the purchase because it does not work on thick pad carpets.

Sucks hard

Carpet is less than 3 years old and normal pile. No adjustment for suction. We read reviews afterwards with other people having same issue. Dyson rep wasn’t helpful and recommended I call the carpet manufacturer to find an appropriate vacuum that would work for us. My wife used to arms the push and I could barely push across the carpet.
