The construction feels rather cheap and I haven't noticed a difference between this Dyson and other pet-hair models from budget brands. The only major difference is the ball, which allows me to get into tight spaces without much movement. Overall, a good product, but I wouldn't pay for a Dyson again.

I'm happy to hear how much you've been enjoying the ball technology built into your machine, which allows Dyson Ball Animal to steer easily into difficult places with a simple turn of a wrist. The vacuum's key components have been engineered to fit inside of the ball itself. Giving the machine a streamlined profile, allowing access to tight spaces and lowering its center of gravity to make it lighter in the hand. That said, I'm sorry to hear of your concern regarding the construction of your unit. Please rest assured, Dyson machines are made from polycarbonate ABS which is the same material used in riot shields and crash helmets, so they're built to stand the test of time. While our materials are light, they are also durable and tested to destruction. Our machines can handle bumps, drops, hits, and jabs.
