As for ease of use it's frustrating to the point to almost being useless. The materials used are the lowest quality plastics I've ever felt, in fact it's so fragile I'm afraid to even lift it. I would not buy it again.

It is very difficult to operate on thicker carpets. It is difficult to make it stand upright when you are pausing during operation and want to move something or pick up something. It does operate very nicely on wood floors. Has a decent width area that it covers.

In this case you would need to consult with your carpet maker to find out what machines would work best with their flooring. Most carpet makers will have advice on what machines are most compatible with your flooring.
