It doesn’t get into tight areas, nor pick up more than small crumbs. It is extremely heavy and hard to maneuver. I have to use my old, broken Kenmore vacuum after I use this one. Very disappointed. Wouldn’t pay $5 for this this product. I highly recommend looking into a different vacuum!

Posted .Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you've experienced issues with your Dyson Ball Animal upright. It sounds like you may be experiencing an issue with getting your vacuum to remain in the upright position? There will generally be two clicks that you should get when putting the vacuum into the upright position. These clicks are not always noticeable unless put into the upright position at a slower speed. I would recommend putting the unit into the upright position at a slower pace in order to listen to the clicks that occur in order to troubleshoot the problem. One click will be the wheels of the vacuum going into place. The second click will be the wheels locking into place. It is important to ensure the second click occurs as without the second click, stabilizer wheels are not able to lock securely into place.

We are sorry to hear that you've found the quality in your Ball Animal upright ot be lacking, or that the materials used to manufacture the machine seem to be not durable. Dyson machines are made from polycarbonate ABS, which is same material used in riot shields and crash helmets. They are tough, so we subject them to 50,000 hours of testing and 550 individual tests – all to ensure that they can withstand a lifetime’s hard use.
