I can confirm that we would essentially expect the hose to become more flexible with time and use. A few tips we can provide would be attaching your accessories directly to your hose, as this will also help expedite stretching the elasticity of the hose. Dyson vacuums are engineered with versatility in mind and attachments may be used on either the wand or directly on the machine itself for added convenience. Also, when stretching the hose out we would recommend starting by stretching the part of the hose that is nearest to the vacuum first when extending this part to clean your home. We would actually recommend checking to ensure the wand is not obstructed and that the hose is not sucking into itself as the hose is not something we would expect to be an issue during use.

And only because I have a multi level house and don’t want my teenagers to break my 12 year old "beastie" as I call her. Shes my original Dyson. I have tje filters replaced regularly and have had the hoses swapped out but never any issues. THIS vacuum on the other hand, isn't worth a fraction of what I paid for it and wish I never had. Good luck getting it to stay in the upright position! It might click, but it's going to fall over the second uou take your hand off it. The design is horrible, I'm constantly fixing the roller bar and hose so the suction works properly. I thought technology was supposed to improve over time? You may want to go back to the old design.

Does it’s job

Unfortunately I was not able to really test it until after three months. Now, every time I use it, i get this burnt smell. The vacuum still does it’s job but I am afraid it will give up soon. It might have been just the vacuum I received, but might be worth to share.

Dysfunction has a new definition

It is too much work, and I would rather just bare with a product I don’t care too much for…because it’s fine. However, this vacuum is the absolute worst product I’ve ever purchased. I have owned 6 vacuums or so. All of them have some strengths and some weaknesses. The Dyson, of which I thankfully was allowed to return after about 6 weeks, has no strengths. I won’t bore you with the many details I disliked about the vacuum which makes it on the cusp of dysfunctional. That’s my, as unbiased, analysis as I can give in short. Oh. And I bought it on the half price day, so instead of $699, I paid $350. And still for that price I was offended at its ineptitude. I almost laugh at how many issues the Dyson had. I will also add I had a Dyson canister vacuum about 15 years ago which I liked quite a lot. Peace

Newer version is not good quality

That was a great vacuum. It was older and decided to upgrade to a newer version. It’s terrible and doesn’t have good suction. Cheaply made and not as good of quality anymore. Very disappointed in Dyson.

I had bought dyson animal 20 years ago and this newer style doesn't hold up to the quality of the one I bought years ago, the only reason I bought a new one was because I couldn't find a beater brush for y old one.

The junker is always the oldest Dyson and used in the laundry room for stuff like kitty litter crumbs the cats track around. We vacuum daily. We typically get 3-5 years out of a new Dyson before it becomes the junker. The warranty is not great because you have to find an authorized Dyson vacuum repair center to determine if the problem is covered under warranty which is a slow process. If it's not covered under warranty you have to pay for the time spent taking your vacuum apart.

We had a dyson yellow vacuum for a couple years and still have it, I hated that thing from day one. Let my wife know it to since she bought it. We have four dogs a cat and one son. We live in a four bedroom two bathroom home with two living rooms (ones a man cave). The old vacuum would not pick up pet hair worth a dang no matter what we did, I hated it. Seen the dyson animal on sale for black friday, read the Reviews and reluctantly pulled the trigger. Let me tell you this thing is an animal. It picks up hair like nothing, easy to push around on every surface. It was amazing to see what are yellow dyson was missing. In amazing I mean gross. As for other reviews saying it pulls the rugs around, the heavy good rugs are not a problem, the cheap light rugs it will. Easy to solve that problem, just turn of the beater. Still picks up hair just fine without pulling them with it, that's how strong the suction is! I have been using this every day for over two weeks now just to make sure it is worth the money and you can say I'm impressed, Great product! Wife says it's lighter than the older yellow dyson to. Now I want the animal cordless for the stairs and entry. Maybe someday....

Cheap plastics are used with this product. Returned asap.
