This is the best vacuum that I have ever owned. I have 2 cats that shed A LOT and this vacuum keeps all of the cat hair at bay. I love the maneuverability of this vacuum! It really can turn on a dime. The attachments are so great, too! They can reach anywhere, even in my home that has super high ceilings! I love how easy it is to empty the container, too. There are just so many great things about this vacuum. I love it and would recommend it to anyone.

We have dogs and cats, so I was excited to finally get this Dyson. I already had a Shark and didn’t love how cumbersome it was to use. First of all, the Dyson does have great suction although I can’t say it’s significantly better than a Shark. What I do like is the edge-to-edge suction of the Dyson, which the Shark definitely doesn’t have. Unfortunately, that’s all the positive things I can say about the Dyson Animal. And I wish I hadn’t sold the Shark. Within the first year, we started having problems with it shutting off randomly. Thank goodness for the warranty, which has since expired. We had to have it serviced twice within a year. Once it completely died on New Years Eve when there was carpet deodorizer all over the floor. I had to run out and buy a Dirt Devil in order to finish vacuuming. I still use the Dirt Devil as much as the Dyson because the Dyson is so unreliable. Sometimes the brushbar will stop working but the suction is still on. Sometimes it just won’t turn on at all. I never would’ve imagined that I’d have to keep a cheap backup vacuum around because I cannot count on my Dyson working.

This was a gift for my parents after their vacuum broke. It’s been great and perfect for our dog who does shed a lot. Highly recommend Dyson vacuums.

This dyson is replacing a 14 year old dyson. The suction power is great. I thought I was getting everything clean with my old dyson but I am so impressed with the amount of dirt my new dyson is getting out of my carpet. I gave it a 4-star rating because of the flimsy construction. My old dyson was made so much sturdier.

This Dyson is lightweight and easy to use. It’s replacing my DC-14 that I’ve had for 18 years. I love it . It cleans just as good as my DC-14

This vacuum is so powerful. A huge upgrade from my old dyson. The amount of fur it pulls from the carpets is amazing. Downside is the weight of the vacuum. Not terrible but can get tiring over extended uses.

Absolutely love this vacuum. It works so well. I have two dogs that shed a ton and it does fantastic at getting my carpets clean!

Excellent suction! This is my second Dyson and they have improved over the last 5-7 years. Won’t buy any other brand of vacuum.

Heavy, but it’s easy to maneuver. Picks up small particles. You just have to learn how to maneuver the ball with a twist of the wrist.

For being slightly heavy, this vacuum is very easy to use. Lots of suction, even collected dirt after running our cordless Dyson.

I bought this item due to Dyson usually being called the best vacuum company but I have come to find out that there expensive price isn't worth it. To put it in perspective Dyson says on their webiste that the vacuum has 270AW (air watts/suction) while the Shark Powered Lift Away Rotator has 270AW for half the price! Even the new Dyson Big Ball Cinetic has less suction (180AW). If you need a vacuum I don't recommend this due to the outrageous price they give instead I would get a Shark.

I’ve wanted to like this heap of bolts and belts but I just cannot. We bought this vacuum for FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS because we have a herd of dogs and tumbleweeds of fur. While the “Animal” is ready and willing to suck the dog hair up, everything else about it really blows. For instance, I’m 5’ in the prime of my middle age years. Getting this beast out to vacuum the sofa is like trying to move a refrigerator using chopsticks. It’s unwieldy, clunky, and nearly breaks a toe if you accidentally drop it. The design is a clear fumble, a total disastrous doomed attempt at being creative with tool storage and hoses. This is my least favorite aspect of this waste of The Franklin Five. The “ball” makes this contraption impossible to control and constantly pulls some shenanigans to ram into my furniture. The hoses for the handheld whatever-it-is is a kinked-up mess that NEVER extends and takes a Nobel Prize to figure out. And put as many big red buttons on it as you want, Dyson, and it’s STILL not intuitive. How I hate this. I never use it. When I do I am a swearing and swearing wreck! So, it sits in the closet until my husband decides to vacuum something. This is a dude’s vacuum full of gimmicky designs, complicated tools and hoo-dads, empty marketing, and about 8 miles of ridiculous cord to get tangled in or trip over or step on or vacuum up or manage to hit yourself with when you try to whip it out of your way. I’d rather “vacuum” by rolling masking tape around my fingers and picking the dirt and dog hair up that way. $500 will buy me a lot of tape! The only way I’d EVER buy another Dyson would be if they somehow convinced me to try a cordless, for free, sent with a box of chocolates and a 2016 Porsche 911 Targa. 0 stars +1 only because the thing is purple.

Easy to assemble and very powerful. I have alway's had great success with Dyson products.

Suction is good and overall good vacuum. Not as robust as the last Dyson Ball Animal Vac.

Hands down the best and only vaccuum you will ever own. Worth every penny! Performance is amazing. You will never have to purchase another vaccuum or want another vaccuum after you use this!

I absolutely love the power of this vacuum and and can't wait to see what's in store in the future. Dyson has a customer in me for a long time to come and I will recommend to others.
