The only good feature of this vacuum is the suction. Also, you do get a great work out using it as it is very heavy. I stupidly bought many of the over-priced attachments, some of which don't even fit, only to find that using them is so cumbersome that I often choose not to. If you want to switch back and forth between attachments and vacuum, you have to hold the attachment hose/wand and the cord in one hand, and the vacuum in the other. There should be some kind of latch to hold the hose when switching, but there isn't. Speaking of the hose, you don't want to get your fingers caught after stretching it because it really hurts. You have to be extra careful to get the vacuum to to click in the upright position, often needing several attempts, or risk dinging your walls when it falls. For the price of the vacuum, Dyson should definitely have a retractable cord. Using the attachment hose requires removing the hook that holds the cord, so it will be completely unrolled (even if you only need a few feet), leaving you with a 20' cord that can and does easily end up tripping you. Did I mention how intensely dislike my Dyson?

Within a year it stopped running, took it to Dyson repair center, they changed the head unit; from then on, it seems like twice a year we took it to the service center for same issue, and each time they replaced the head unit, this is a lightly used vacuum cleaner, now it's out warranty and it broke down again, out of warranty, they wanted $140 to replace the head unit again. Not pleased at all with this brand, it seems like the replacement units are refurbished, and they break down frequently.

Beautiful and all the attachments are Handy, after 4 years Dyson is the best

This is a garbage piece of equipment. I mean... when it works, it works great. Until it doesn't. I have had this vacuum for less than 4 years and have had to had the main cleaner head replaced twice for failure to function. Luckily, I still have it under warranty for another year. It does not bode well. I am never buying another Dyson. What am I supposed to do? Buy a new replacement cleaner head every 2 years to keep this thing functioning properly? I bought into Dyson maybe a little too late in the game. Their brand and reputation was based on high-performance, but this unit feels and works cheaply.

I have loved the Dyson vacuum in the past. I owned 3 of them over many years. I ended up getting a Kirby so I got away from the Dyson but ended up returning to Dyson after not loving the Kirby. The past designs of the Dyson were so nice and user friendly but the roller animal Dyson is a joke. The roller ball stops moving smothly after about 2 months. The spin brushes on the animal attachment stopped working. They only spin if you don’t press down on the couch. It falls over every time you try to set the kick stand when you are finished. You CANNOT use the wand when you want to clean tight spaces or vacuum your couch because the suction does not allow the hose to extend. I would give anything for their old design, loved those vacuums but this one is a horror show. If I could I would throw it in the garbage.

I wish I had bought a Shark. I loved my old Dyson. I had it for years. The suction was amazing the entire time I owned it. I've had this vacuum since June and I wish I could return it. The suction is nowhere near as good as my old one was. Every time I go to empty the canister it's a pain in the neck - the canister does not come off easily and it doesn't empty everything unless I can remove the canister. It's very cumbersome. To stand it upright you have to make sure it clicks twice or else it falls backward. The tools fall off of the side while I'm vacuuming. The wheel squeaks like crazy, and the vacuum feels flimsy while I'm vacuuming. And as I said, the suction is nowhere as powerful as the old Dyson that I had. Everyone said to buy a Shark and I wish I had listened. I'm disappointed in this vacuum and expected better quality from Dyson.

Dyson has a great marketing department but the product doesn’t live up to the hype. It took several pass throughs to get the carpet cleaned and started having overheating problems with the vacuum just a week into owning it. I returned the vacuum back to the store and ended up buying a Riccar vacuum and have never looked back. Bagged vacuums are just superior to bagless. Don’t believe the hype about bagless.

Good on wood floors, terrible on carpet. Suction is so hard that it moves entire rug or raises carpet and not able vacuum forward or backwards due to suction. Didn't realize return policy was only 15 day so had to keep this vacuum

Extremely disappointed in this Dyson. I had high hopes since it says it is for pet hair. But it is nearly useless on carpet. Trying to use it on hardwood is equally futile. The attachments work somewhat, but the hose clogs constantly. I've had this for 18 months and really tried to love it, but I dread pulling it out. Ive resorted to using our shop vac when I need to vacuum the runners.

I do not recommend this vacuum at all. I have a small house with just two people and two cats living in it. The cats shed quite a bit and are messy eaters, so I wanted a vacuum that can accommodate that. This is not that vacuum. It’s always clogging and I have to take it apart and pull out whatever is in the hose. It’s every day accumulation, it’s not like I’m picking up piles of LEGO’s with it. It’s a freaking hassle to try and get anything cleaned. I expected more from this brand and always wanted one of the ball vacuums. I completely regret my purchase. Works great only if you have nothing on your carpets to pick up.

This vacuum did a good when we first purchased the item. Now the brush bar no longer works and we have not been able to diagnose the problem.

I love this vacuum I have had it for 3 years and its going strong. I have a 6 year old golden retriever and a 1 year old Sheppard/husky mix and this thing picks up all the hair. I will absolutely only by dysons for now on

I have a rug in my living room and every time I have to vacuum the rug it’s difficult and hard and the brushes stop spinning

Great price, speedy delivery. When my vacuum arrived, I immediately had to vacuum the house! Now I can say that my house is clean! Love, love my new animal dyson.

Great and sturdy. Unfortunately these products dont last like how vacuums used to last after 2 years it kept jamming and wouldnt suction properly.
