I specifically purchased the vacuum because it is for animal fur. My previous vacuums would clog when I used them for fur. This machine sucks it off of the floor and couch without a problem. My only small issue is that for the price the plastic used to construct the vacuum seems cheap. Although, I do love the vacuum!

This is a powerful vacuum cleaner and I am very pleased with it. It replaced my old DC 18.

Great suction solid build. Typical Dyson when locking handle to stand up it doesn't always lock first try. A bit clumsy to maneuver compared to the shark but all around great vacuum.

I bought this for my girlfriend for Valentine's Day. She's been wanting a Dyson for years. She loves it! She has a bit of OCD, so she finally has a vacuum that can keep up with her. This thing is good for sucking up dust and allergens, vacuuming mattresses, etc. Saw it on sale for $100 less than reg, had to nab it.

This vacuum is amazing and well worth the money. I have a gsd and it does wonders picking up her hair ! Definitely will purchase other Dyson products !

It has much better suction than our d vacuum. Also, when you empty the dust, it is much easier and cleaner. Finally, after emptying the bin and restarting the vacuum, there is no dust blowing out, like the old machine. I highly recommend this, and we are pleased with our purchase.

I had to return it because the vacuum broke within a year of getting it I do like the vacuum it goes a great job cleaning.

Bought this to replace our 10 year old Dyson Pet. The new one pulled a full canister of gunk out of carpet that was vacuumed a couple of days earlier with the old one. Great new design with the Ball and clear brush cover so you can easily see when it's time to clean out the long hair. Quieter than the old one too.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this vacuum. A vacuum isn't really something someone wants to spend a lot of money on, but I bought it during Black Friday and got it on sale. I would highly recommend this vacuum if you have pets. My carpets feel very clean especially with a couple dogs running around.

The vacuum does its job well. It picks up the massive amount of fur covering my floors. It works well on hard floors and carpets. It moves nicely. It can be a bit awkward for me at times, falling over if not in the exact right position. When it is fully upright the air comes out the top. I understand why it does this but it is annoying. I also wish the cord was retractable.

I have a german Shepard/husky mix so this unit gets a lot of usage. It picks up everything i need it to. it is very heavy so be aware of that.

By far one of the best vacuum cleaner I ever had. My dog sheds a lot, and this cleans up around 90-95% of her hair. Only complaint, it’s over priced. I got this on sale, hence why I bought it. If it was never on sale, I would’ve never bought it.

This vacuum really gets deep in the carpet to lift up dirt and pet hair. With 5 cats, I needed one that had strong suction to get all the cat hair.

Very easy to use. It's a Dyson, so it's not cheap. I was able to pick it up during the "Deal of the day" at a great price. I have the older Animal Dyson with out the ball. The ball makes a big difference in being easier to maneuver.

love it, easy to use but a little heavy carrying it up and down the stairs

I am definitely torn on this rating. The vacuum aspect of this vacuum deserves the 4 stars. It sucks extremely well however with this being said I do not like several things about this vacuum and am very disappointed about the price I paid for it's shortcomings. Cons: If you use the wand on furniture, you have to bend it and it almost cuts the suction completely off. There is no place on the sweeper to store all of the attachments. When rolling it from room to room, you cannot do so easily without either lifting it, or it opening back up.

This is a must-have vacuum if you have pets. I’ve always liked Dyson products, however as a dog owner this vacuum does an amazing job of picking up dander, fur, and everything else. It’s super powerful and it’s so convenient to empty the canister.

We bought this to replace a Dyson Animal that we had for several years. So far, it seems to work well, especially with changes in floor coverings when going from one room to another. We really like the ball's advanced steering. The regular head does not get very close to the edges. The entire machine is much lighter than our last Dyson but with just as much suction.

Best vacuum I've ever owned. Easy to empty & clean. Great attachments!
