For all the hype, this vacuum has some definite flaws. Great suction, but since the floor portion self adjusts, there's no obvious way to set the vacuum for cleaning fragile rugs or the cushion floor mats we have in the kitchen and bath. The first time I tried to go over these mats and even the small throw rugs in front of all our entrances, I realized that this vacuum can't be used. Our Hoover upright can manually adjust to leave those lighter floor coverings on the floor, rather than stuck in the beater bar. This vacuum is quite heavy to use, as it seems the chamber/canister is supported by the user, rather than well balanced over the wheels. By the way, the design of the cyclonic, bagless dust bin is nearly identical to the system on our Hoover, (at half the cost.) Same size motor as the Hoover too. From the published photos, we thought this vacuum's hose and attachments would be far better than our existing vacuum, but the have the exact same issues. The hose is very short and the extension tubes fit down inside the dusty hose. So, if your current vacuum works, save your money! Seriously overpriced and heavy doesn't make it better.

Nothing beats a Dyson. We have two pets and the vacuum makes cleaning a breeze.

I had a Boswell for pets but it didn’t quite work as I expected. This Dyson is the best vacuum I’ve ever owned.

I came from the original Dyson Small Ball DC24. This was so much more powerful as far as suction goes. I was worried about the size difference but I hardly notice it.

I went with the Dyson because of the multi floor capabilities and tackling animal hair. So far it has worked flawlessly and is easy to use.

Very powerful suction and the handheld accessories are very useful. The vacuum adapts to multiple surfaces without any issues. Would recommend!!

I have a dog and an entire floor of carpet and it does a superb job. It’s easy to use, maneuvers well, and the clean up is super easy. I will say, I haven’t used it on tight spots or stairs as I have the dyson cordless. It’s held up well since I’ve bought it and seems to be durable enough to last a good while. Well worth the money.

This vacuum exceeded my expectations. With 2 long hair dogs removing pet hair was always a challenge but this vacuum removes it effortlessly. I highly reccomend.

It's something I would recommend paying the extra money for. I would not buy any other brand that would work but not doing the job you need. This vacuum does three time the other brand job

This product exceeded my expectations. The suction is amazing. The amount of dust and dirt it is able to extract from carpet is well beyond any other product I have used in the past.

Purchased the Dyson - Ball Animal Upright Vacuum. It provides great suction and picks up more dirt/hair than our stick vacuum could (glad we're back to a corded vacuum).

Dyson is the best, cleans very well and is easy to maneuver around furniture. Getting it on sale for half off made it an even sweeter deal.

Got this at the lowest price I’ve ever seen at 250. Does every bit as good as my 1000 dollar Kirby. Easier to use also. Highly recommend

I have tried multiple other vacuums and everyone of them turned to garbage after 3 months. This vacuum has the suction and staying power to keep up with my 3 kids, 2 dogs and 2 cats.

I have a long hair cat and previous pet vacuums did not get her hair. This vacuum gets everything and is super easy to discharge canister. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

This Dyson is a bit pricey, but well worth it. Great sucking power. This is the 2nd Dyson I have owned and I have not been disappointed.

This Vacuum does what it should. I have had the lower model (yellow) without the kinetic ball for 6 years, and the lower model yellow kinetic ball for 2 years. Each vacuum does better than the previous. I only have a cat in the house as it pertains to pets, and I find that there is still hair on the carpeting. Granted, this does way better than the lower model, I maybe should've jumped even higher to the next model above. Overall, it is a good vacuum and I am pleased with my upgrade. Pet hair, is there a perfect solution?
