Good Vacuum but...

However, the hose which run attachments is just too short for just about everything I try to use it for. I am willing to purchase an additional length of hose and a coupling but I can never get Dyson's center (Chicago) to answer the telephone and the web site always says 'sorry but it's unavailable at this time'. I'm tired of trying. Just hoping I never have a real service issue.

Posted .Hello Fred, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear that thus far in your use, you've found the suction to be so great on the Dyson Ball Animal upright. I can confirm that with regard to the hose, we do not have any type of extension available. Also, we would essentially expect the hose to become more flexible with time and use. A few tips we can provide would be attaching your accessories directly to your hose, as this will also help expedite stretching the elasticity of the hose. Dyson vacuums are engineered with versatility in mind and attachments may be used on either the wand or directly on the machine itself for added convenience. Also, when stretching the hose out we would recommend starting by stretching the part of the hose that is nearest to the vacuum first when extending this part to clean your home. We would actually recommend checking to ensure the wand is not obstructed and that the hose is not sucking into itself as the hose is not something we would expect to be an issue during use.

I don’t understand why they have to cost as much as a trip to Hawaii but it legit makes me happy to vaccume now. It also works very well on my high pile wool rug and the attachments are great for dusting nooks and crannies!

The expandable hose sucks back when you turn it on so you end up fighting the suction power while trying to use attachments. Suction and cleaning were great, but too heavy for my use.
