This thing has been a source of annoyance and issues since pretty much month one, on top of being annoying to use due to poor design decisions. -The hose stopped working quickly and has been a nigthmare of wasting time to try to get working -The method for turning it on and off is incredibly annoying an unintuitave. -The mechanism for it going upright to vacuum mode and back is janky, over the years has become more stubborn and the amount of force you have to use is ridiculous -Now the suction even on the main vacuum mode has completely stopped working This thing should have lasted 3 times as long as it did for the cost. It certainly shouldn't have been the CONSTANT source of annoyances for the cost.

Great Vacuum, this is the 2nd Dyson we have purchased!

We have a cordless Dyson, and it works great for short/quick cleans. The corded animal extends cleaning time, when vacuuming the whole house. The cleaning power and optionality make this a must have!

Dyson vacuums are the very best. With this purchase I have now purchased five...including gifts. Bought this one to replace one that is almost 20-years-old that still runs just fine; only the plastic parts are breaking. I would recommend Dyson.

Bought this vacuum to have one on upper and lower floor. Pluses...easy to maneuver, lifts up the carpeting and is ultra easy to empty the canister. Downer...while using the hand tools on the flexible hose is difficult because there is so much suction, it is hard to extend the hose. All in all I would totally recommend this vacuum

This vacuum replaced my Central Vaccum system. It was breaking all the time and didn't do an adequate job picking up pet fur from my 2 large dogs and kitten. This Vaccum works! We have new carpet and I can't believe how much fur this Vaccum picked up. It's amazing!

I'm not gonna lie - I wanted to LOVE this vacuum, but on the whole, I'm rather underwhelmed. I've always had canister vacuums and was happy with my previous Electrolux but with ever-increasing back issues, I thought a lightweight upright with great suction and great reviews was just the ticket. Putting it together was easy but I'm a little concerned about how flimsy certain parts feel. For instance, the little hinged plastic piece atop the hose assembly flips up when you pull out the hose assembly and down when the same is stowed and the floor roller is being used. I could easily see a part like that being snapped off without much force. However, the suction power is certainly not exaggerated. I love the ease of being able to just pop out the canister to dump contents and no bags/cleanable filter means no expensive consumables - win win! The hose assembly is another issue. When I need to use the hose to vacuum under furniture, or inside baseboard heaters, etc, it's just awkward positioning. Since the hose comes out of a 3 foot high feed tube, and can't be laid on it's side, it is difficult to use to vacuum under things. This could be because I'm used to a canister vac, which have the hose come out of a floor level height. I worry that the hose will quickly break or crack since I find I'm often stretching it or bending it at different angles for regular use. But 4 months in, so far, so good there. So far it's held up in regard to the concerns I mentioned, however, the floor cleaning roller already stopped having suction. The entire piece is cleaned and appears undamaged, rollers rotating..., just has no suction. Best Buy was no help but after a couple calls to Dyson, they are sending me out a new floor attachment to replace the non-working part. Hopefully this will fix the problem. Overall, I'm underwhelmed. I guess I was just expecting more. I'm worried about the flimsiness of certain parts and the hose starting from a position 3 feet high, is an issue. If I could go back, I'd do more looking before buying this one.

This vaccum does an amazing job picking fur off of couches and carpet. The attachments/length of the hose is much better than our previous 2 vaccuums. Super glad we took advantage of this as a deal of the day!

We were looking to replace our old dyson and I’m so glad we choose this it picks up so much hair off all the floor and couch surfaces so well. Dyson is a brand I’m not sure I could ever change from we just swear by them.

This is my second Dyson vaccuum in 10 years. They always work as desired.

We have a Shark vacuum cleaner which does an adequate job but it really didn't have superior suction. We were delighted to see the Dyson offered as the deal of the day and took advantage of the reduced price tag. Before pulling the trigger, we watched some videos and were impressed that a women who owns a cleaning business used this Dyson for her own home. Our new Ball Animal Upright surpassed our expectations.

Two dogs! Two kids! Dyson is a no brainer! I’m 100% satisfied!

I LOVE this vacuum cleaner. I have very thick carpet in my living room and it does a fantastic job in cleaning it. The "barrel" that catches the dirt is easy to remove and put back in. I love how it swivels and goes low to get under tables.

I bought this to replace a Dyson I had purchased in 2003. It still worked and I passed it onto a friend in need of a vacuum. Just an amazing piece of engineering. The ball makes this so easy to maneuver around objects and walls

I bought it because my old one of 12 years bit the dust. I used it before my wife and was very happy. Then my wife used it and was extremely impressed. My wife loved it so much and told her mom about it so bought one to replace her old one
