This vacuum's strength is its greatest problem. The suction is so strong it creates a problem pulling across hi-pile carpet. A lot of drag.

If this vacuum had a retractable cord it would be a five star review. Still new so I can not comment on durability.

This is our first choice in vacuuming equipment. Not only is Dyson a market disruptor but they continue to make incremental improvements. This is our second Dyson and we still love the way it works and cleans up.

I thought this was going to be the last vacuum I ever had to buy. Sadly, after 8 months, the beater bar stopped working, so now it can only be used on hard surfaces. With a $400 price tag and the Dyson name, I expected more. Also, the hose attachment is a nightmare to use. The hose is so stiff and wants so badly to recoil that there is no flexibility. The wand (which fits in the hose when in the upright position) is long enough that, when coupled with the stiffness and inflexibility of the hose, you have to stand at least 3 feet away from whatever it is you are trying to vacuum in order to have a shot at getting it to suck up. It's really a shame, as I said, I thought this was going to be some next-level vacuuming.

So far so good. Second Dyson - very happy with them.

Very powerful vacuum. This was an upgrade from the original Dyson Ball (Yellow) & the performance is very visiable. My only issue is the hose extender as I still feel the pole/tube doesn't bend properly & cuts off the suction.

Works well, difficult on stairs and the locking mechanism is difficult to engage when you are done using.

Is very practical, doesn't take that much space, just love how it deep cleans,

I have a Persian cat that shed a lot and this vacuum is perfect for removing the hair of it.

not the most expensive dyson out there but it works great and picks up all my pet hair

Light weight. I was amazed at what the vacuum picked up off of the floor after vacuuming with my old vacuum cleaner.
