This by far is the best one I've ever bought. Once you get over the sticker shock and actually try it out this thing is amazing.

When I called Dyson they said that unfortunately there is no adjustment that can be made for thicker carpets. There should be something that says that its only made for certain carpets. Very disappointed.....

Posted .Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you experienced an issue with your Ball Animal, and found it hard to push on your thicker carpeting. Dyson machines have higher levels of suction power - while this works for a majority of carpets, there are select fibers that may not be compatible. The air seal would be limited due to the suction power of the machine, from the result of the high suction and the self-adjusting feature. The hose and attachments are also somewhat awkward to use. Besides that, it gets up everythingggg in sight. Love the general activity of vacuuming now.

I have a shark that’s about 2 years old and had it replaced once already. The dyson animal is lighter and has way better suction. I’m very happy with my purchase

This one was a gift, but purchased because I loved mine so much. I have two dogs and it handles their shed fur no problem. This one went to a home with three dogs and it still powers through with no issues.
