The suction on this Animal ball is far superior to my 10 year old Dyson upright that i needed to replace.

It still works, but it's old so I thought I would buy a new one. First off, this vacuum feels cheap, really cheap. If you didn't tell me it retails for $400 I would have guessed it cost $99. Used it once, worked well. The second time I used it I used the wand and when I put it back in it still sucks through the top no matter what I do. I have taken it out and put it back at least a dozen times, so now I just have a $400 push broom. It may be operator error, but I feel like it shouldn't be so difficult. It would appear that dyson has gone downhill. Plan on returning immediately.

Posted .Hi Dusty. Thank you for taking the time to provide a review on the Dyson Ball Animal upright vacuum. Dyson machines are made from polycarbonate ABS – the same material used in riot shields and crash helmets. They are tough, we subject them to 50,000 hours of testing and 550 individual tests – all to ensure that they can withstand a lifetime’s hard use.
The vacuums are also designed so that when in the upright position, you will only receive suction from the wand/hose and when reclined you will only receive suction from the base. If you are receiving suction from the wand/hose when in either position, there is likely a blockage within the change over valve and we will be happy to help with walking you through on how to remove.
