I am 5' 10 and it is too short for me. I contacted the company and they told me none of their uprights offer a adjustable handle. They suggested i should buy a canister vacuum which i already own. This was returned and now i am searching for another option.

Not suitable for our carpets

But when I tried to vacuum it was almost impossible to move. Here is the shocker. I called Dyson and was told to return it because it was not going to work on my carpets!! On the bright side after struggling to get back in the box the return process at Best buy was a dream :-)

Dyson Ball Multifloor features Dyson ball technology, which allows for easy navigation with the turn of a wrist. The cleaner head on this machine is self-adjusting, meaning that it raises and lowers to seal in suction across all floors. Ultimately, the machine being hard to push will likely be the result of suction forming an air tight seal between the cleaner head and the floor. While we don't expect issues to occur, Dyson does back your new machine from an authorized retailer with a free 5-year guarantee. I understand that you've returned your machine. Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2 offers 245 air watts of powerful suction, along with our Dyson Ball technology, which makes it easier to steer into different places with a simple turn of a wrist. It sounds unusual to hear that you're having an issue with your vacuum locking in to the upright position. There will generally be two clicks that you should get when putting the vacuum into the upright position. These clicks are not always noticeable unless put into the upright position at a slower speed. I would recommend putting the unit into the upright position at a slower pace in order to listen to the clicks that occur in order to troubleshoot the problem. One click will be the wheels of the vacuum going into place. The second click will be the wheels locking into place. It is important to ensure the second click occurs as without the second click, stabilizer wheels are not able to lock securely into place.
