    If I had known it would just suction itself to my area rugs on my main floor and not be useful, I wouldn’t have bought it.

    Good for going between carpet and hardwood floors. Its priced on the higher side especially since it has a lot of plastic parts . Overall i give it average because of the price and performance.

    The floor suction is adequate and the edge cleaning is good. The suction from the hose was never as strong as I would have liked and not as strong as my previous old, cheap Hoover. The thing that disappoints me the most is that the hose suction stopped working altogether about 10 months after I got it. I use the vacuum once a week at most since I also have a Roomba, so it should not be worn out already. I won't waste my money on a Dyson again.

A lack of suction will usually be due to a blockage or clog within the machine. This results in a loss of airflow, which in turn results in suction loss.     Not what I expected. Works great. But doesn’t have a light. Canister doesn’t separate from wand. Returned for a shark with more features.

    Cheapest plastic vac ever-arrived broken

    This vac arrived in the box - with the bottom panel ripped almost all the way open. the side of the box was accordian looking - had been squished in shipment? I thought Dyson vacs were the best, but this cheap, thin plastic knockoff isn't it. I treated myself after having a cleaning service for 30 yrs and I've never had a vac this cheap and flimsy. Since all the packaging was in Chinese I assume it's a knockoff and not a real Dyson. The wand was broken in shipping and couldn't be used. Since I took 2 weeks to open the package I missed my opportunity to return it. I am trying to get it fixed but will never buy another again or shop Best Buy. I thought BB had good electronics and appliances. Not true.

    Not what I expected. The vacuum is heavy to push and difficult to stand upright. I thought Dyson would clean better but found my old Electrolux upright vacuum cleaner did a better job.

    Not my fav. I returned it, it was too heavy. I ended up getting a cordless Dyson stick vac instead and that’s been great.

    If you can't crawl on the floor, don't buy.

    One of the two filters requiring washing at least every three months is mounted on the side of the ball at the bottom of the machine. To access it one must lay the machine on the floor on its side, get down with it, unscrew a plastic cover and twist the filter out (this last step I was not able to accomplish). So if you may have a problem crawling around on the floor or maybe just bending over, this machine is a joke. I called Dyson and was told they have never heard of this as an issue and I'm only to deal with Best Buy, even if I'm charged a fee for a machine I've owned for three days and never even plugged in.

    I prefer my shark. I had high expectations for this vacuum and at first it did well but it lost power after 6 months.

    This unit did not go together easy, it falls over and a lot. It does not roll well from carpet to hard wood floor. It is hard to click into the upright position.

    Like all Dyson's it has plenty of suction but on our new thick pile carpet it was almost impossible to move. And there is no carpet height adjustment on the unit. I had to return it to the store.

    Words cannot begin to describe how much I HATE this vacuum. I had a Shark before this and after 5 years, it finally quit. I thought I was upgrading by getting this vacuum — boy was I wrong!!!!! It is EXTRAORDINARILY bulky, heavy and bonus - you don’t get the accessories automatically like you do with a Shark. I would to have shell out over $120 to get TWO similar tools in order to clean my house how I like! Next, this thing won’t stand up like it’s supposed to. I struggled to keep upright while vacuuming. We contacted our local Best Buy and they said they would exchange it for a Shark. But seriously, take my warning — Shark is FAR SUPERIOR to this vacuum. Don’t waste your time or your money or you’ll end up a very mad and angry person after your first time trying to deep clean with this atrocity in your house...

With regard to the machine standing on its own, there will generally be two clicks that you should get when putting the vacuum into the upright position. These clicks are not always noticeable unless put into the upright position at a slower speed. I would recommend putting the unit into the upright position at a slower pace in order to listen to the clicks that occur in order to troubleshoot the problem. One click will be the wheels of the vacuum going into place. The second click will be the wheels locking into place. It is important to ensure the second click occurs as without the second click, stabilizer wheels are not able to lock securely into place.

      While we don't expect issues to occur, Dyson does back your new machine from an authorized retailer with a free 5-year guarantee.     We were unable to push this vacuum on our carpet. The carpet is 2 years old and not particularly thick or shaggy, but it just did not work for us.

    I have bought many, many things from Best Buy - all great, except for this. Horrible. The assembly instructions are useless. Check videos to put together. Parts don’t fit together well. It takes about 10 minutes to replace the extension hose once pulled out, doesn’t want to go back together. Multi floor? When vacuuming kitchen or bathroom (tile) it gets hung up on the rug in front of sink. Will not vacuum it. These little rugs aren’t thick. How can it not vacuum a small rug! My living room I have plush carpet. Forget it. You can’t push the vacuum. I am talking you have to put the full force of your body to move it. Poor design, poor quality, poor everything. If I hadn’t thrown out the box the day I got it, it would have been returned. It’s in the garage now. Useless in the house. DO NOT BUY.
