Big MISTAKE. The quality of the new vacuum is a joke. Dyson should be ashamed. I was a die hard Dyson loyalist. Trust me, it was misplaced loyalty. I have replaced this vacuum - it will be delivered in January.

Horrible do not waste your money

I would not buy this again and seriously want my money back. Never had such an experience and wish I had seen all these 1 star reviews. Not the way to go Dyson!!

With regard to the hose, I can confirm that we would essentially expect the hose to become more flexible with time and use. A few tips we can provide would be attaching your accessories directly to your hose, as this will also help expedite stretching the elasticity of the hose. Dyson vacuums are engineered with versatility in mind and attachments may be used on either the wand or directly on the machine itself for added convenience. Also, when stretching the hose out we would recommend starting by stretching the part of the hose that is nearest to the vacuum first when extending this part to clean your home. We would actually recommend checking to ensure the wand is not obstructed and that the hose is not sucking into itself as the hose is not something we would expect to be an issue during use.
The filters on your machine are washable, and should be washed every three months. With regular maintenance, they should last beyond the lifetime of the machine. Good vaccum cleaner, but

Though it is vacuuming good, its base (cleaning part) comes off from the stick/handle very easily when you vacuum near the room edges. I am really disappointed. Thought of returning to Best buy back, but the hassle of cleaning each part and putting it on the box, I decided to use it as much as possible.

Would not even give it one star!! Hard to use on no pile carpet - does not pick up on wood floors. Attachments are for a midget and do not stay attached to pole. I wished I could return and go back to my Shark brand!

I got it on June 5 but that is past the Best Buy window of replacing it. This situation sucks. I wish the Dyson Ball would suck. My parents had a Dyson so I was familiar with it and always worked amazingly for me. So I had been looking on various websites, Target, Amazon, etc. a bit out of my price range, but BEST BUY is AMAZING for their deal on this one! I paid $218 total for the vacuum, and best of all? It was FREE shipping to Hawaii!! That’s almost unheard of!! So! I got to use my new Dyson today and in short it’s amazing! It covers a lot more ground than my last vacuum and moves so much more smoothly. My only complaint is that because I have ugly tile floors, I also own several rugs. One of which is a big 8x10 shag rug and this thing requires some real manpower (in my case, woman power ;) ) to get the job done. Definitely a good way to get some of the strength training Lol! And I’m very glad that it actually made my shag rug SO much fluffier, it was beginning to flatten and I was considering buying another new one but I think my new Dyson will allow for a longer lifespan! :) Overall, Definitely recommend this vacuum! Just make sure you can push this sucker on carpet!
