I was skeptical at first about all the hype that the Dyson has. I've always had a shark, they work well and are half the price. I tend to vaccuum at least twice a day because I have 3 dogs, one who sheds constantly. My Husband talked me into "upgrading" to the Dyson. IT WAS THE BEST DECISION EVER!!! This vacuum is simply amazing. Like I said, I always thought since I vacuum at LEAST twice a day my floors were pretty clean. WRONG. The first time I used the Dyson, it got up SO MUCH dirt and hair. I was in shock!!! The suction power is so strong!! I love this vacuum!!!

I'm a first time Dyson buyer; moved up from Hoover. I must admit this is a little pricier but it's well worth the money. It's compact, suction's great and easier to clean. I no longer have to worry about getting the dust bags!

This is my third Dyson. The first one was a refurbished one. I have an Animal which was expensive and still works. I have a 2 story house -and have RA, so it was hard for me to keep hauling the Animal upstairs. When this one was on a great sale, I bought it As usual, I am very satisfied. The suction is so good that it almost lifts area rugs off the floor!!I had many different vacuums over the years and can truly say Dyson is the best. I have six cats so a good vacuum is a must

Love the Dyson Vacuumer! It's very powerful, and thank their design. It sucks dusts well from hard surface, carpet and fabric, therefore cleans the target effectively. Like the different tools attachments, which make it more versatile and handy for uses of different purposes. I was told by a retailer that some carpets manufacturers do not recommend to use Dyson on their products. What would the consumers do with the suggestions, or should Dyson consider an option in the design to use for some delicate targets or items?

I was use to spending $180+ on a good pet vacuum. When I decided to give a Dyson a go, knowing if it didn't wow me I could return it. Now I tell everyone it is sooo worth the buy! Nothing else compares! Spend the extra bucks and test it for yourself. There floating plate means you do not need to adjust for bare floors to think carpet. The ball makes for super easy maneuvering. The cord is long and the extension is great. The suction power is like no other!

Super easy to assemble. Great suction and light weight! It is small but powerful. I am very pleased with the performance thus far.

I cleaned my carpets a few hours before my Dyson was delivered. It easily snaps together with no screws to deal with. I have 3 pomeranians so I vac every day to keep things neat. Once assembled I redid the living room rugs. Unreal!! So much hair and dust came out of what I thought were clean rugs. I love this machine. It is heavy compared to what I have been using. The price is great. I would never go back to my old brand. Dyson really lives up to it's reputation!

We finally replaced or dyson dc 7 not because it wasnt running anymore. We just wanted a newer version this cleans like a champ awesome vacumm you will not be dissapointed

Very sturdy… very flexible! It goes under areas that are hard to reach.

I’ve had vacuums from different manufacturers and I’ve never gone for the cheapest, thinking you get what you pay for. This Dyson was on sale so I thought I’d try it. Our other vacuum had died four days before we picked up this Dyson and I couldn’t believe the amount of ‘stuff’ that this vacuum picked up the first time we used it. I’m definitely happy with this purchase and I’d recommend this Dyson vacuum to everyone.

Best vacuum I have ever had. Couldn't believe how much dirt it picked up. Totally worth the financial investment for this quality. The tools are great too. Longest reach on the hose I've ever had too. Helps me with my high ceilings with cedar beams. One of the best features is the self adjusting vacuum head because my floors are uneven in some spots and this vacuum had NO trouble at all where others in the past leave debris behind. Very pleased.

I've had the DC65 Animal for over four years now, and it's taken a beating. Nothing broken, still cleans similar to new. When BB had the Multi Floor model on sale as deal of the day I pulled the trigger to get a second one, and will relegate the old Dyson to lesser duties. All the Animal accessories work with it, so I'm getting a new vacuum for a fraction of the original's price. Heavily recommended.

Seems to be light weight and easy to handle. Good suction. Pulling the suction wand is easy but putting it back on the handle is a bit of struggle!

I bought this vacuum a few weeks ago and was really excited about getting it. However, out of the box, I was pretty disappointed. I waited a few weeks because I thought that maybe it would just take me a while to get used to a different vacuum. Pros: 1. it definitely has great suction. 2. The cord is long. Cons: 1. It is tricky to make stand upright on its own. You have to get it "just right" or it just collapses. 2. The handle is part of the suction apparatus, and when the beater bar isn't engaged (whenever the vacuum is standing upright (see Con#1)) there is a hole that becomes the primary suction location, getting my shirt, EVERY SINGLE TIME. 3. The hose, is tricky to re-insert and every time you have to carefully re-engage it. 4. The hose isn't much fun to get out. 5. The hose has no handle and so you are holding it by the hose part, which can result in pinched fingers. Also, its hard to have good control when grasped by a flexible hose. 6. The attachments all sit at an angle that is great for vacuuming up high but terrible for every other angle. I thought I would just get used to it. But I haven't. I used to really enjoy vacuuming and really looked forward to having a Dyson but it hasn't really panned out. In short, really good at sucking things up but not great ease of use.

I am happy with it so far. There is an open grid at the top that pulls air through the wand when the vacuum is sitting upright. ( but it stops when u start rolling) I had a previous version that closed up completely at the handle. That seemed better. It does a good job on cat hair and seems to have good suction.

I purchased this vacuum a couple months ago while it was on sale for $100 off the regular price. i was looking at the shark but always wanted a dyson. i wish i would've returned it when i had the chance. the crevice tool was busted from the start which is alright, it was easily replaced. since then i found a hole in the rubber part on the side of my baseplate assembly that i emailed the company about 6 weeks ago. they sent a new assembly out right away but it was the wrong one. i have now gone over a month waiting for this piece to ship and haven't heard anything. and now, the ball is squeaking a lot when i'm using it. i'm not sure if that is a bad thing or not. i might have to check the screw on the side when i wash the filter, i'm not sure, but it's only a couple months old. i'm worried what the condition will be in a few years. the company has been less then exceptional. dyson talks about their warranty and customer service all the time. so far i'm not happy with the service and i might need all 5 years of the warranty if this thing keeps acting up. maybe i just got a bad one but at this point i wish i purchased the shark. be careful before spending a lot of extra money on these vacuums and use them before the return period is over to make sure you didn't get a lemon like i did. hopefully customer service will get back to me sometime this year.

Highly recommend this Dyson. Have been buying a new vacuum from Target once a year.
