Does a great job picking up on both carpet and hard floors, lots of power. Its a bit on the heavy side, and using the hose portion is awkward.

This vacuum is one of the best vacuum I have purchased. Works great light weight and easy to clean. But I just got it so let’s see how it will last.

This is the best vaccumm I have ever owned. It is so strong and yet so light. I love Dyson products. Now if i spill sugar on my carpet or hardwood floor there is nothing to worry about.

Just got brand new carpet and needed a new vacuum to keep it clean. This vacuum has been great!. Its a little heavy, but the suction is great and its very user friendly.

Very good vacuum. Great at really sucking up items from carpets and tiled floors. Not heavy and doesn't take up a lot of space.

First, I am glad I read a review about the light model not being self-propelled. The few extra pounds of this model make this superior to any light vacuum. I was a budget vacuum user for decades who did not want to believe how much better a Dyson could be. That is until you see how much more dirt is in the see-through cup! When you live in a dusty climate, you don't realize how much blows in until you use this. I definitely empty this more frequently than the old bagged budget vacuums, but it only proves how much more gets sucked up. I am giving this 4 stars because the upholstery attachment will not stay in place. The plastic on the hand tool is weak and is getting wrecked trying to clean out window tracks. Otherwise a phenomenal product.

Purchased another Dyson vacuum about 12 years ago. Has been a great vacuum for me, and still has plenty of power. Moved to a new home with two stories, so decided it would be easier to purchase another vacuum. Wanted another Dyson as the previous vacuum was such workhorse. Hard to believe, but my new Dyson is EVEN BETTER than my previous one! Greater suction, the new style allows for easier maneuverability, and the price I paid at Best Buy couldn't be beat. I doubt anyone would be disappointed in the power of this model.

I originally bought the Dyson Animal Vac, but it was so powerful that I could barely move it, and it kept getting stuck on my rugs. I returned it and got this version instead. It's still very powerful, but I can move it a lot more easily. The power cord is longer than the previous model, so you don't have to constantly unplug and replug it in. The canister is very large, so you don't have to empty it too often. My previous Dyson lasted 10 years, and I'm expecting this one will have a similarly long lifespan.

We have pets and tried vacuums just for pets and they didn't last at all. Every 6 months we were buying a new vacuum. We bought a Dyson and have never had any issues. It also has a good warranty. They are expensive but worth it.

The vacuum has great suction on our wood floors and picks up everything on the carpet areas. Very easy to get into tight areas the way it turns.

Love this vacuum and got it for a great deal. The suction is great and it cleans easily for carpets. Not optimal for hardwood.

Sucks with great power. Let's see for how long. Most vacuums just suck badly after a bit.

this vacuum is fantastic. It is light and easy to use, but very powerful. Also love that I can easily switch from vacuuming the rug to vacuuming the hardwood floored and tile floors

I really like this vacuum. It works so much better than the Oreck I had. Very easy to empty and get the attachments on and off. Super happy and I would get it again.

Phenomenal suction. Easily maneuverable. Great on carpet and hard surfaces. Dysentery quality continues to be excellent.

Best vacuum I ever bought... Worth every penny....

We purchased this vacuum as secondary cleaner when we received a great price on it. The ease of handling and great suction has made it our primary vacuum!
