I knew that this vacuum would work well at home, but I didn't think I would enjoy it much. It actually worked even better and I went ahead and bought a handheld v6 vacuum as well. I even had my brother go out and buy one for himself.

This Vacuum does a stand-up job cleaning my floors and I'll never go back to just any old vacuum cleaner. Worth every penny! I feel like the house smells better.

Love my new Dyson. Very easy to move around and the four year old loves to vacuum with it! We are very pleased with our purchase, but we researched it prior to buying, especially since going through two other vacuums within nine months.

I feel the vacuum pulls up dust and debris well from both carpet and tile. However the vacuum has issues locking into place and staying upright.

Wonderful. Does much more than expected. We thought we cleaned the carpet well the morning before we left to buy this new one. We got back plugged in the new one, vacuumed the floor again and found much more with the new vacuumed.

This vacuum sucks, in a good way! We vaccumed our floor with our old vacuum before we tried the Dyson for the first time. Holy Moley, the Dysons suction power was unbelievable. We've only had it a couple months but we're very happy!

This is my second Dyson Vacuum. I clean homes on the Jersey Shore. Between the beach sand and pet hair this vacuum is amazing. It glides so well from hardwood floors to carpet. The center ball design makes it so easy to go under kitchen chairs and around furniture. The only reason I bought a second vacuum is so I can continue to use the first one for cleaning jobs. The second is just for me to use in my home. I actually enjoy vacuuming with this vacuum.

This vacuum works well. It has great power and seems to clean my carpet and laminate well! It is convenient to empty and use.

This is the best vacuum I have ever purchased. So much lighter than most and so easy to use. And it leaves my floors spotless!

I finally purchased this based on extended research and user reviews. I couldn't be happier. The suction is amazing and the maneuverability is outstanding! My only gripe is the detachable hose. It could be a little easier to use.

This was a gift for my wife. The name brand alone made her very happy. Though I am not a vacuum expert, I was impressed with the suction of the vacuum. Best I have used other than an industrial vac. The attachments are sufficient and easy to use, though using the extension can be a little tricky to reattach. However, I could not have designed it any better. It is very easy to move while in regular vac mode. Dyson seems to be all that it claims. Overall we could not be happier with this purchase.

Just replaced carpet house wide... researched for a couple of weeks but always came back to this Dyson. Does everything it says and more!! Can't be more happier on decision...

So far I just love this vacuum. It's definitely a nice upgrade from the SEBO I had. It was delivered quickly and was easy to put together. I feel very lucky to have gotten it on sale. I love being able to see how much it is pulling up with its great suction, and it's easy to empty the canister as well as nice not to have to use and replace bags. It would be great if it had a retractable cord, but that's hardly a big deal. My one concern is that the plastic that it's made of seems as if it might easily crack or break, so I feel I need to be quite careful moving it around. I appreciate that it's lightweight, but think perhaps it could be sturdier.

Overall, great vacuum. lots of plastic on it which makes it feel flimsy but it's my second Dyson so I'm not worried about it. Does a great job and small enough that it's easy to bring around the house.

I have purchased many vacuums in my lifetime ( over 30) - I love this one - it picks up the dirt and makes my house look clean. Both my daughters own one - I was leery of buying one due to the cost - but now I am glad I did!

This is the best vacuum I have owned hands down. It has pulled more dirt out of my carpets then my Shark Lift Away I was using. It's amazing how much dirt and cat hair was left behind by other vacuum.

I mostly bought this as a gift for my mom. She has two decrepit old vacuums, one 15+ years old and only good for vacuuming the filthy mudroom while sounding like a low-flying aircraft, the other an ancient bag Kirby that worked fairly well but was as heavy and complicated as an old Volkswagen. My mother was very against buying a new vacuum, no matter how many times I suggested it. So once I was in a position where I could afford it, I decided to buy one for her. I have used a Dyson Ball for one of my housecleaning jobs and loooove it for its versatility, ease of use and simple maintenance. So I actively sought out one for my mother because I knew she would like it. This vacuum is simple to put together, simple to take apart for any maintenance, and soooo simple to use. One of my mom’s reasons for having multiple vacuums was that they couldn’t all be used on all surfaces: she felt the one was too powerful to work on her throw rugs, the other not powerful enough for the carpet, and neither of them were easy to use on hardwood or dusting, so those things rarely got done. After a couple times using this model, my mother said how glad she was to be able to do the entire first floor of her house with a single machine; not too hard on her throw rugs, very effective on the carpet, easy to transition from carpet to floor, and equally easy to use the hose and attachments. Highly recommend this vacuum

I love this vacuum! It has plenty of cleaning power and make cleaning carpet and hard woods an easy task. Self adjusting head, so you do not have to change anything when you transition from carpet to hardwood or tile!

We needed a replacement for our old vacuum cleaner and i was always intrigued by the dyson brand. So far so good. It is light weight and very maneuverable and the suction is real good.

I have been very pleased so far with this vacuum. I’ve had it long enough to put it through its paces and it comes out very well with our use. We have two cats and two dogs so there’s plenty of dander and hair to pick up. We have carpeted stairs so we’ve used it on them as well. The canister is easy to empty and so far I haven’t observed any giant dust clouds while doing so. The extra switch to turn off the brush roll for hard floors is a nice touch but I’ve found I like to leave it on most of the time anyway on the hardwood floors just to help agitate any dust in the cracks of the boards. We don’t have any hard soils or gravel-ey dirt on them so I’ve not noticed any throwing around of these items that having the brush roll on door would be undesirable. Things I really like are 1) the powered brush head that is self-adjusting or perhaps doesn’t really need adjustment for different carpet heights and 2) the self-storing flexible hose and rigid hose extension. The flexible hose stores very neatly and I believe that even if it got kinked or damaged it would still store neat and proper since the rigid hose extension stores inside the flexible hose. It’s also great that when using the powered floor brush the vacuum flow is diverted so that it does not pass through the flexible hose during floor sweeping. What I don’t care for much is the weight. It is fairly heavy at nearly 20 lbs. and it takes a bit of effort to carry and balance this on stairs when using the flexible hose to clean them. The hose isn’t long enough to reach half a flight of stairs so it’s necessary to carry the vac with you and move it every 3 steps or so. Suction seems to be very adequate and I’ve washed out the canister several times already. It’s simple to break down and clean. So far I have not seen a reason to wash the fabric cone filter but they recommend washing it every 3 months. That seems fine and replacement filters seem to be very reasonably priced. If the filters can be washed a few times then replaced the operating cost will be lower than using bag filters that some vacs do.
