The Dyson vacuum works very well. Light and easy to use.

I bought a Shark after my old Dyson died and I thought it was doing a good job. I've been having a lot of trouble with my allergies and when I saw this Dyson $200 off I bought it. Wow, I can't believe how much dirt I got out of my carpets. My eye's stopped watering,nose stopped running and I haven't sneezed since I got it. Dyson has the best suction and cleaning power. I'll use my Shark in our basement.

This is our second Dyson. We opted for the smaller, more light weight version this time and are completely satisfied. Same great suction!

I like the vacuum. Light weight and picks up well. Realized after the 30 day return period, the attachments were missing and never received them.

I did a lot of research, and I found the Multi Floor (original) was the best deal for me, especially after it was on a Flash Sale. While the Multi Floor 2 is slightly lighter, it wasn't worth the higher price. While the Animal is the flagship and is slightly more powerful, again not worth the higher price nor the heavier. We considered the series of stick vacuums, but their half as powerful for the same price but battery doesn't last long enough (being much lighter was the only benefit)..

Works so much better then old style vacuums. Seems to be built on quality so far. Does a fanominal job on the different carpets we have.

I got this vacuum to replace a Shark I gave away when I moved. I absolutely loved my Shark but decided to try the Dyson this time since my new home is mostly carpet upstairs and I wanted something reliable and effective. I'm a clean freak and geek out over vacuums and mops and such, so I was excited to get this and try it. I've used it a few times now, on hard floors, carpet, and stairs. So far, here is what I've noticed: Pros: - The suction is quite good. And at the end of the day, you want a vacuum that picks things up, and this does it. - Despite being heavy, it does maneuver pretty well. - Very simple to empty the dust canister (but these days, most vacuums are) Cons: - The instructions to put it together are horrible. I am a pretty handy person and still didn't find them very clear. - I was immediately underwhelmed by how cheap the plastic parts felt, particularly the wand and handle. I expected greater quality for the price. - It's HEAVY. Granted I'm comparing it to my Shark Navigator Liftaway, which only weighs 13 pounds and is super lightweight. But at 17+ pounds, this thing is a beast to lug around and push around. 4 lbs doesn't seem like a lot, but it really is for a vacuum. - There is no light on the vacuum head. Not a big deal to some, but I expected it. - The ball gets really hot and blows very hot air not long after starting it up. Is that normal? - The wand and attachments are cumbersome to use. I ended up abandoning it halfway up my stairs and just hefting the vacuum up each step. At the end of the day, it's a good vacuum, but it's not a great vacuum. And for the price, it should be a great vacuum. As of now, I will most likely return it and purchase another Shark in its place.

This Dyson picked up dirt I didnt know existed! It was a little heavier than I expected and the rolling ball took a bit to get used to but this is the very best vacuum I have ever had. The suction power is fantastic and my old carpets look better than they have in years. I love how you can go from carpet to floor with just a push of a button and the extending hose is super long to reach high ceilings. The cord is nice and long so I don't have keep replugging it in.

This Dyson vacuum is Easy to use and picks up good. I only wish the attachment would pick up as well as the vacuum itself. Other than that, 2thumbsup

I feel like my carpets haven’t ever been this clean. The suction is great and the vacuum user friendly

it is a great vacuum. impressive suction power. clean air returned. very gentle on carpet (not recommended on delicate knit carpets).

We have gone thru lots of vacuums but we will only own Dyson from here out. Floors have never looked better and we have 3 dogs who shed so we put the vacuum through heavy duty use.

Twice as much suction as my old vacuum, large head, easy to swivel, and super easy dispenser. So much easier than my other bagless vacuum. I didn’t by the animal version, but I think that one had bigger extensions for cleaning stairs. The one that comes with this version is small, but it still works. We have a lot of rugs and so because it “sucks” so much (which is typically a really good thing) it is hard to go over some rugs without it lifting the rug. But I figure out a way to make it work, even if I just have to turn off the spin part or use an extension. Overall: smooth, great suction, easy dispensing, long cable. Great job Dyson.

The suction on this vacuum is amazing. We have a shark model and even after the shark vacuums the carpet, the dyson is able to suck up more dirt. The design is great and maneuvering is easy. Wand access and attachment use are well designed. Reason for 4 stars is that it doesn't work on our upstairs carpet. I guess the carpet is too thick for the Dyson so it not living up to the multi-floor name. If you have hard floors, tile, or thin carpets then this is a great vacuum.

Although this is not a lightweight vacuum cleaner the ball makes it easier to maneuver than my previous full-size vacuum cleaner. It cleans very well with great suction and waste cup detaches easily for emptying. The only drawbacks I have found so far are that it is hard to get all the waste out unless you stick your hand inside the container and clear it, and I'm not sure if there is a place for the tools on board. It was hard to tell from the assembly diagram so I currently have them on a shelf in the utility closet I keep the vacuum in. I got this as a "deal of the day" so the price was a big selling point for my purchase and overall I am satisfied.
