I've never acquired this expensive of a Vacuum before, but because of quality issues with under $100 units decided that more $$$ was required so I tried this one (Holiday sale $100 off). Suction and cleaning ability thus far is superior or equal to others that I have tried. Overall I'm happy and hope that it "outlives" the Dirt Devils and Bissells that I've owned. The biggest issue is weight. 20 lbs, even with the wonderful ball design, sometime its just a bit much.. If it could be all put into a 14-15 lb package, then a 5 star rating could be achieved!!

Took a chance as I've never thought one vacuum might be better than another, but this one is the best we've had in, uh, let's just say a number of decades of marriage. Handles the dog hair well great.

Super job in cleaning and cleans all the way to the wall without the need for the hose attachments. Large but easy to use. Every time I vacuum before guest arrive they always ask me if I just had the carpets cleaned. The catch that hold the vacuum upright is a struggle to work with at times. The accessory attachments and hose take a while to get use to. Still all in all a 5 star performance.

I've bought many inexpensive vacuums and none of them last very long before breaking. So far the Dyson vacuum is the best one yet and seems to be worth the money especially with the manufacture warrantee

Favorite vacuum. Easiest to use and works the best on carpets and hardwood

It works great with cleaning floors, but the hose connected to it, is very difficult to work with. It like trying to pull 5 bungee cords at once to try and reach the top of your curtain from the floor. Yes the entire things is on the heavy side. The suction works great without a doubt. Its also a multi surface cleaner. I got this on sale for 200$, its original price was 400$ so I got a good deal. If you are looking to work your biceps, please purchase this vacuum!

great vacuum cleaner. easy to use, really gets the dirt, easy to empty thecanister. attachments are a big plus.

This vacuum is very powerful. We got a dyson ball animal about 10 years ago, but it was time for a replacement (some issues with the pedal to recline and the extension wand getting stuck) This feels a little less sturdy than our old one, but is very powerful. It would be even better if the nozzle on the extension could fit though smaller spaces.

I enjoy the lightness and mobility. Picks up particles on the carpet sufficiently.

Dyson is a good reputable company., I already own one Dyson and I bought this for my daughter because I know how much she likes mine

I never really considered buying a Dyson because they are so expensive. However, I managed to get a great price on this one after the Ball 2 came out and I must say I'll never buy another vacuum that isn't Dyson. My mom is a miser and I convinced her to buy one instead of wasting money on a Hoover and even she admits that thing is awesome.

I was very hesistant to purchase this vacuum because it is made of mostly if not all plastic parts, but I have found it to be a very sturdy practical vacuum cleaner. It is fairly lightweight easy to manuever, the head turns and I really enjoy using this vacuum. It is loud as are all vacuum cleaners, but it is quieter than others I have used.

It does better job on carpet, not effective on other type of floors. At times it can get noisy but overall a good product.

I purchased this vacuum cleaner as a gift for my sister. She will not stop singing the praises of this Dyson. It has picked up even the tiniest particles without any problems. Loving this Dyson!

There’s something about seeing everything you’re vacuuming up in the clear canister that makes you feel like you’re accomplishing something—and makes you wonder what your old vacuum was doing. We bought this and vacuumed our living room 5 times because it was getting everything our old vacuum had missed over the past 4 years. This thing works very well
