DOES NOT PICK UP PET HAIR OR SMALL DEBRIS

We have a small short hair dog and it is unable to pick up even 1/3 of the hair from our carpet, wood floors or furniture. Working with Dyson has also been a nightmare in trying to resolve the issue. Their only solution is to have us ship the vacuum back and forth to their facility for testing, and each time the vacuum performance does not improve.

Long hair get's stuck on the roller pretty frequently so I have to cut the hair off the roller. There's another vacuum that doesn't have this issue but it is significantly more expensive and not worth the extra cash. Got this one on sale so it wasn't too bad. The reason why I deducted one star is because although it's "filterless" it still has a filter in the ball area and they are hard to find. Thankfully, they last a long time but definitely something to consider. I would not pay the full price for this if I had to buy it again. It is worth getting the GSP on this though.

I would like to see Dyson change the hose though with the attachment, it is very hard to use and keeps going back down into the hose. But the suction on the vacuum itself is the best I've ever used.

The button to switch the roller off and on for bare floors is not easy. Have to press several times to stop roller. And when clicking into upright standing position it rarely stays clicked when tilting onto wheels to move around when done. Confused how these flaws were overlooked in the design....very annoying and never had these issues with any other vacuums I've owned.

It's unusual to hear that you're having trouble with the brush bar switch. Once your machine has been powered on and reclined, the brush bar will automatically be on. You should be able to depress that button once, to disable the brush bar.
With regard to the machine staying upright, there will generally be two clicks that you should get when putting the vacuum into the upright position. These clicks are not always noticeable unless put into the upright position at a slower speed. I would recommend putting the unit into the upright position at a slower pace in order to listen to the clicks that occur in order to troubleshoot the problem. One click will be the wheels of the vacuum going into place. The second click will be the wheels locking into place. It is important to ensure the second click occurs as without the second click, stabilizer wheels are not able to lock securely into place.
