ok i had an original dyson that was still going strong is now my garage only vacuum lol. this new guy is great and love the fact that there is no filter to clean. must buy as an upgrade

Vaccum picks up stuff you dont see. Great on all surfaces, wood, tile carpet.

Amazing vacuum & works great on dog hair. My dog sheds a ton & this vacuum has no problem picking any of it up. Not a fan of how the hose extension stores on the vacuum and I also prefer a retractable chord, but these are not real issues of concern for me. But if you have an animal or not, this vacuum is great for on carpet use.

Having installed new carpet in the master bedroom which is a medium shag carpet, the Dyson rotor kept locking up, called Dyson Customer Service and was advised that the suction is too much for shags and to use the carpet tool attachment. Will keep the vacuum as the rest of the home is hard wood and short carpet. Do not drill holes in your vacuum as some owners have done to use it on shag carpets!

This vacuum is amazing!every house should have one!

I bought this one becaucse I have a previous version about 5 years old and it was starting to lose suction, needed belts replaced and filter needs cleaning. this sounded great as there would be less maintenance. The suction is great, I love it. But now there is no where to hook the cord. I have to hold it in my hand so it stays out of the way. It is also very cheaply made. For the price I paid and with previous model experience I expected better quality. When I stand it up half the time it falls right back down. It usually takes 2 attempts to keep it upright. Also removing the hose has become more complex. I also would like to have been able to keep the attachments I use most often connected to the vacuum itself instead of having to carry around a bag. Also when it is in an upright position it is harder to move around when I want to take it to another room. With the old one I would tilt it back and roll it over. This one tends to go in the vacuuming position and takes 2 or 3 tries for me to tilt back to roll on the back wheels, which by the way are not very good. They should be rubber not cheap plastic. So far the only thing I like about it is the suction.

I love this vacuum it goes from my carpet to my hardwood no problems the longer cord gives me more freedom to clean everywhere down stairs before I have to turn off and unplug. I would recommend this to anyone that carpet and pets.
