However I liked the older style hose that physically detached the extension rather than keeping the extension in the hose. OtherwIse it works great

When moving the machine from room to room while not in use, it is meant to be picked up by the handle of the cyclone rather than pulling back on the handle as this will engage the machine into the vacuum position.
