The main sEllington point for me was the "no filter" aspect, the price point is still a bit high, but overall the product is pretry great

I have a Dyson DC17 Animal, which is an amazing vacuum but it is getting old and not nearly as versatile as newer vacuums. I purchased a major competitor of Dyson's and while it is a good machine, it just isn't as powerful as my Dyson. My grandmother bough another competitor of Dyson's on Black Friday, and it was also a good machine but still not as powerful as my older Dyson is. After using both of the competitors, one of them for over a year, I decided I wanted another Dyson. Let me start with one word, WOW! This Dyson has a lot more pros than cons. First the machine is extremely maneuverable, even better than the other two vacuums I used that also have a steerable cleaning head. Two, the suction power of this new Dyson is incredible. You can hear and feel just how much air this machine is moving. Three, the new Dyson has a great cleaning head, you can feel it vibrating the carpet and it leaves a beautiful cleaning path. Something I noticed, after buying this vacuum, was there is no longer a sole plate on the bottom which means when you vacuum you are cleaning the entire area, instead of just where the brush hits. Four, this machine comes with a lot of great attachments that none of the competitors offered standard when purchasing the vacuum. I was able to vacuum the ceiling fans, mattresses, curtains, car, between the dryer and washer, air conditioner vents, couches, stairs, and even above the cabinets without a problem. You definitely want to pay the extra money and get this model, because the attachments make vacuuming way easier. Five, the new wand design is fantastic! You just pull it out and go, plus the tools snap on to the hose and wand and no longer fall off. Six is definitely how QUIET the vacuum is. I was blown away by how quiet this vacuum was when I was using it, compared to my old Dyson which is pretty loud. So far I haven't found anything that I don't like about this new Dyson, but if I do I will come back and update my review.

The Dyson Cinetic is a heavier machine; one thing that you may notice, however, is the brush bar of your machine may help to move the machine along the carpet due to the natural rotation of the brush bar. With regard to the hose, I can confirm that we would essentially expect the hose to become more flexible with time and use. A few tips we can provide would be attaching your accessories directly to your hose, as this will also help expedite stretching the elasticity of the hose. Dyson vacuums are engineered with versatility in mind and attachments may be used on either the wand or directly on the machine itself for added convenience. Also, when stretching the hose out we would recommend starting by stretching the part of the hose that is nearest to the vacuum first when extending this part to clean your home. We would actually recommend checking to ensure the wand is not obstructed and that the hose is not sucking into itself as the hose is not something we would expect to be an issue during use.

Best vacuum we've ever had!

The Dyson - Cinetic Big Ball Animal Bagless Upright Vacuum - Iron/Purple Model: 206031-01SKU: 2500098 does a great job at vacuuming but the waste canister doesn't empty completely and it doesn't stay upright.
