It does everything it says it should. Has a little trouble on our shag rug but its about 1 1/2-2" thick. Other than that, it works flawlessly. Great design too. Major downside is the price, if you don't have money to splurge there are other good vacuums out there.

I have bought other less expensive vacuums but they are just not that good. They don't work as good as the dyson and they are not made to last any length of time. I went in with my son in his stroller and needed to purchase a vacuum on the spot. They got the one I needed down right away and even took it to my car. The price was even less than it was listed on the website. I felt like it was my lucky day.

It feels cheap—when it is absolutely not cheap. That being said, I have a Golden Retriever and this vacuum makes easy work of getting all that hair out of the rugs!

It is big, bulky and heavy. I still cannot find any instructions for the 10+ attachments even after calling Dyson . They suggested i "Google it." Have given serious thought to returning it!

My wife has asthma and is allergic to dogs but we found that out after we had four of them! This vacuum really helps her minimize symptoms of her dog allergy and is easy to clean and does an excellent job picking up hair and dirt.

Great Suction but hard to use

When using the attachments for the hose, the hose wants to pull back on you, making it hard to use the hose attachments. Overall a good vacuum if your not into using the hose and attachments.

Regarding the hose, if you seem to be having difficulty utilizing the hose portion it may be helpful to stretch it out a bit. The hose will naturally coil to avoid wear and tear damage over the years and it is most noticeable when it is new. By going segment-by-segment we can give that hose a stretch and improve this experience.
