I really like the performance of this vacuum cleaning floor and carpets. I am cat-sitting for a few months and it really seems to do a great job with cat hair on the carpets and floor. The hose in the handle is a bit harder to deal with because it has a fairly tight coiled wire in the hose to help it quickly return to its smallest size. So I find that I fight it a bit when i want it pulled out. Overall though, I would recommend this to anyone who wants an upright style vacuum.

I was trying to get rid of flea's that took over my house. Nothing helped... bombs, sprays, vacuuming. So I read about the Dyson and decided that would do the trick. I found it on Amazon, but they took too long to ship so I called Best Buy and they honored the price! I picked it up the next day and I am happy to say that within 2 days my home WAS FLEA FREE! This is the best vacuum ever. I previously owned a Shark, and the Dyson blows it away...literally!

I'm in love with this vacuum! The suction power is great, and it's a lot quieter than I expected. I have a big hairy dog and this vacuum has no trouble picking up all her loose hair. I also love the attachments. The upholstery attachment is very strong, and easy to use. Worth the money.

We recently upgraded from early generation dyson (purple) to the Cinetic Big Ball. What a huge upgrade. I was stunned the 1st time we used the Cinetic. Vacuumed 1 room 4 days after vacuuming w/ my old dyson (prior to it's demise--which incidentally prompted purchase of the Cinetic Big Ball) & the dust bin on the Cinetic was full of dirt. I honestly think it was pulling dirt from underneath the carpet, up thru the carpet, & into the dust collector bin. My carpet even had the 'new carpet' look after vacuuming w/ the Cinetic Big Ball. (Carpet threads standing up on end instead of normal lay down flat walked-on look). Don't hesitate to buy this thing (especially if you can find it on sale--$200 off at Bestbuy when we purchased).

I decided to splurge and get this vacuum despite some so-so reviews out there. I currently had a compact Dyson Animal which was nice, but not a ton of suction plus it works better in an apartment due to its size. I was very impressed with the suction of this vacuum and amazed at what it picked up the first time I used it. Tools are also easy/ier to use. Only complaint is that one of the tiny wheels on the floating head squeaks and is quite annoying.

A bit on the high side for the price, but well worth the money - It is a great vacuum! It has great suction compared to the Hoover we had previously. Easy to roll and maneuver around furniture. Light enough to carry up stairs. Has a lot of different hose attachments also.

The reason i went Vacuum shopping is due to my 1 year old Border Collie. I love him to death, but i feel very different about his constant shedding. My former vacuum was good, but not great. After shopping around online, i decided this was the vacuum for me, purely based off of reviews. So, i decided to test it. I vacuumed my entire apartment before i left to purchase the vacuum. Then, when i got home, i vacuumed again, this time with the new vacuum. People, i cannot tell you the drastic difference it made. the Dyson - Cinetic Big Ball Animal + Allergy Bagless Upright Vacuum - Iron/Nickel is the best vacuum i have ever had the pleasure to use in my life. I'm not some clean freak either, i just know that my apartment feels, smells, and looks 100x better with this new tool. - Dumping the hair out of the container is literally stupid easy. Never thought i would literally just have to press a button, and the container would empty out just like that. Awesome! 10/10 would buy

Yes it is. It gets my carpets cleaner and it is easier to maneuver the thing. I therefore end up vacuuming more and my house stays cleaner. One thing to consider though; empty the storage canister outside. I have not found a way to do it inside without dust going everywhere. You have to do this more often than with other bagless vacs because it picks up more stuff at least with the first few cleanings.

I am very pleased with this vacuum. I really sucks, in fact when vacuuming a large rug is sucks so much it is hard to move over the rug. The brushes don't appear to be belt driven and there is a button to turn the brushes off. This is helpful on the rug and on bare floors. There has been an unpleasant odor from the exhaust that I can't seem to figure out. I bought some carpet freshening powder with febreze that I hope will quelch that odor.

Love Dyson to begin with and this does not disappoint. Had a Dyson ball that was about 5 years old and decided we wanted the animal and this vacuum is amazing. This one picks up even better than our old Dyson which is hard to believe. Love all of the attachments that came with it too. Thank you Dyson for continuing to be the best product on the market.

great suction, lightweight, easy to get around corners, and hose attachments are great for high spots.

So we have several animals. I was assured that this was the vacuum we needed. It does clean well but I'm not convinced it's better than a lower priced vacuum. I think the visual dirt convinces you it does so. The hose isn't as easy as the picture depicts when cleaning the stairs. The unit tips easily. And my final complaint is that the hose from the bottom to the canister was peirced by a toothpick! So it now has a hole that dust escapes after three weeks of ownership. So I get to return it. Not sure if I will get another or try a different brand.

very powerful, but not very heavy. performs all sweeper tasks without any problems. a very good buy.

Wanted a Dyson and BB had a flash sale, so I jumped on it. Our old vaccuum was a Miele canister style and I thought it did a good job until I busted this bad boy out of the box. Wow. We have four dogs and two cats and this is the best spent money on a cleaning product ever. Part of it could be psychological from having to empty the bin and actually seeing what you are picking up, but it really does a heck of a job. Highly recommended.

I love this vacuum cleaner. I have a rough collie and a Himalayan cat and both shed quite a bit. I am truly amazed at the amount of hair this vacuum picks up. It is not light to push around but other than that is is wonderful. And really not that loud. I was using an Electrolux prior to buying this vacuum. I love not having to change bags.
