I have owned 3 Dyson and this one is by far the best....Best suction for dirt/hair and dust control...Before using for the first time, I vacuumed with my older Dyson, then vacuumed with the Cinetic Allergy/Animal and Wow...the extra animal hair and dirt it picked up was shocking. Love all the extra attachments and the big ball makes maneuvering so much easier....Highly recommend for animal lovers and allergy sufferers.

Pretty easy to set up. Lots of attachments to tackle various areas, items & heights in your home.

I really appreciate the versatility of this machine & ease of carpet to hard floor transition. Gets that dog hair right up!

Great vacuum easy to use good suction easy to maintain

My wife had to have another Dyson in the house. Our last one broke down and I talked her into getting a Shark. It was decent, but its no Dyson. She then bought the smaller Dyson stick vac thing. It does a good job, but man that thing is frustrating because the battery dies in about 15 minutes. Can't do much vacuuming in 15 minutes. Then this thing came on a sale that was way too good to pass up, so I called up my wife as soon as I got the email and told her to go get it. Even the customer service workers couldn't believe the price! The girl pulled one off the shelf for herself. ha! I really don't think you can beat this vacuum though. It's heavy, which my wife doesn't like, but it does a killer job for sure.

This is literally the best vaccum we have ever had. It’s lightweight, easy to use, plenty of attachments for every situation, it does a great job with our Kitties - no cleaning a filter or anything. Great warranty. We’re sold on vacuums for good.

I gave this vacuum the test to see if it really does all it claims and it does. My carpet is light cream colored and every little spec of dirt shows. I had just vacuumed my carpet with my old Kirby which does a pretty decent job. My carpet has always looked clean; however, I found out just how clean it wasn't when I used this vacuum immediately after. Wow - does this thing pick up hidden dirt. I am going to buy a couple extra tools to go with it. If you have thick area rugs, it is best to use the wand and attachment versus running the vacuum head over them - it can bog down a bit and there is too much suction for the more delicate surface of those rugs. My only complaint and it is minor is the dirty junk doesn't always fall out of the canister when you try to dump it in the trash - sometimes you have to shake it a bit or use tongs to loosen it first. Still better than having a bag to deal with.

We have not used the vacuum very much just yet. Great suction. Very easy to maneuver. Attachments are very handy and a long hose attached.

My Dyson was by far the best vacuum I'd ever owned. It met an untimely demise when I unknowingly used it to suck up asbestos dust. After that, I owned two Hoover WindTunnels, and what I found was that Hoover was closing the gap... their newer model WindTunnels were really excellent vacuums. One of them, the Hoover WindTunnel Max Pet Plus, even added a long, retractable cord-- something I'd always wanted on my Dyson.

After 11 years with my previous Dyson, it took a puppy chewing through the power cord to force me to buy a replacement. We went with the Dyson Animal. This vacuum is terrific. Not only does it deliver power and excellent suction to pick up debris, the design allows me to vacuum under chairs and sofas without having to move furniture around. The only problem is I hope they still make them this good 11 years from now!

I had a Hoover "Pet" Vacuum and I thought it was doing an OK job, BUT, the Hoover was getting old so I purchased the Dyson. I could not believe the amount of hair/dirt that came out of my carpets that had been vacuumed the same morning with the Hoover. Best decision! I have 2 black labs and the hair is not a problem now! Love it!

This vacuum is high quality. I had a DC14 Animal for 8 years and it was time for a new vacuum. I was shocked at how much pet hair and dirt this vacuum picked up compared to my DC14. The vacuum is easy to handle and maneuverer. It comes with a full assortment of attachments that are functional as well. It is pricey but worth it.

I wished I had splurged on this so long ago. It's quieter than a normal vacuum, does a great job with edge cleaning & picks up so much more than my old vacuum. It's easier to use, with a nice handle that doesn't leave my hand or back hurting when I'm done. Definitely worth the higher price! If I'd had the chance to test this years ago to really know how great it is, I would have bought it a long time ago!

I purchased doing a lot of researching between Dyson and other good brands. At the end of the day, I always went back to the Dyson. After purchasing, I got it out of the box and started using it. I realized what all the talk was about. It definitely picked up a lot more than I expected. I even vacuumed with my old vacuum before I used the Dyson. It does cost a lot of money but you do get your money out of it!

Wife loves this stupid thing. The stairs, the couches, the carpet, the couch etc.... She stil lprefers her milwaukee backpack vacuum for hard wood floors / tile. But this thing makes he so happy at how easy it is to use and how well it sucks. I always thought dyson was a meme but the stupid thing sucks so well especialyl for dog /cat hair, i just wish it didnt cost so much ugh

Got his Dyson after a lot of research. We have a couple of dogs that shed as normal pets do. Keeping the hair off the floors and carpets is a big job in itself. Before you buy, the price of this vacuum is pretty high compared to others in the market. For me I don't make my buying decisions based on price alone but value for money. If an appliance doesn't do it's job, it is worthless even if it is free is what I believe in. Anyway we bit the bullet and bought this one. I would say as far as cleaning and suction is concerned, it is spot on. I have never seen that kind of results with anything else, dog hair or dust it does a great job. Why I took a star off is cos of it's design. First and foremost if I pay that kind of money, I accept the build quality to be stellar with tight tolerances. That is not the case, it looks like an average plastic build which is pretty heavy and cumbersome when using it. Difficult to maneuver it around the corners with its big ball. It is not a good design ergonomically. Fatigue sets in if you are using it for a long time. Anyway, more than that the latch to take the canister off for emptying has it's own quirk. If you press it by accident as you are taking the canister off to empty, it will release all the dirt there itself. So be careful how you hold it when you are emptying it. Putting the extension tube on and hose back in place also is not very easy, so you need to get used to it. So it is the best when it comes to suction but not so good in the design aspect. So there is a scope for design improvement. Been using it for more than 1.5 years and happy with it overall.

i am a neat freak so as my summary suggests you have no idea what is in your carpet. So this is my second Dyson and I decided to go all out, so I bought this one since I have a small Pet and an astigmatic GF, well just for giggles I gave my old Dyson a go... Then I tried my new Dyson and wow I can feel, see the difference. after about several passes. I am very impressed worth every cent and more.

I had an old, old Dyson that just finally gave out. I replaced it with this Cinetic Big Ball and found that it really has much more suction! Be careful over rugs with loose threads as they will come up. It truly has no filter so the container doesn't hold as much and you have to empty it a bit more often. However, it does not clog and I am so happy to have the extra tools that I have used for those extra hard places to reach. I would definitely buy this vacuum again, especially for the attachments because they work well!! And I bought it on sale!
