    I have owned it 1 month and the small wheel under the brush bar has locked up. Now I am expected to go to a service center an hour away. Not worth the money. Cheap plastic and heavy. should of returned it asap.

The Dyson Cinetic is a heavier machine; one thing that you may notice, however, is the brush bar of your machine may help to move the machine along the carpet due to the natural rotation of the brush bar. Also, rest assured, Dyson machines are made from polycarbonate ABS, which is same material used in riot shields and crash helmets. They are tough, so we subject them to 50,000 hours of testing and 550 individual tests – all to ensure that they can withstand a lifetime’s hard use.     Do Not Buy This Vacuum

    I just got the vacuum today and started using it. The dirt bin/canister has a single button for releasing it from the vacuum frame and the same button for releasing the lid at the bottom of the bin/canister so you can empty it. I was very cautious not to push the button down too much when removing the bin, but when I removed it all the dirt in the bin dumped out all over the vacuum and the floor. Huge mess! It does not matter how good of suction the vacuum has if it's going to dump everything on the floor when done. I am exchanging this vacuum for another. AVOID THIS VACUUM and buy another brand!

      Hi Jon, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that in your use, you experienced difficulty with removing and emptying the dust bin on the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal + Allergy vacuum. The Dyson Cinetic features hygienic bin emptying with just a push of a button. The bin of your vacuum will have a MAX fill line to indicate when it is full and time to empty. We generally will recommend emptying your bin by at least the top MAX line that the bin has. Also, the clear portion of your bin does remove for optional maintenance if desired.  We'd value the opportunity to learn more about your experience with your Dyson, and to provide you with support.     The ball is an issue

    Clogs

    Constantly clogs. This is nothing like the first Dyson I purchased. I used this vacuum for one year. I ended up buying a cheaper shark. Every single time I used this Dyson I had to take it apart to unclog it.

That being said, frequent obstructions in your machine may occur as a result of poor airflow, which can happen due to an existing obstruction or dirty filters. This blockage of airflow can also result with a loss of suction.     Worked ok for a few days! Terrible product

    After using it a few times it stopped working. I was told by Dyson that they don’t warranty against cloggage. The same exact thing happened to my brother’s Dyson (same model) and he spent a lot of money to have it fixed. I’ve never had a vacuum cleaner clog up! Have it happen to two of them is even more terrible. Dyson finally agreed to have it fixed after two months of negotiating with them. The unit is still problematic. Not only they have a terrible product, their service is just as bad. DO NOT BUY A DYSON.

    I hate this vaccum

    Had a dyson for 14 years and was very happy with it but the time had come to replace, since we had such good luck with this one we decided to purchase another one and even stepped it up a notch. The suction isn't near as good, the roller ball feature is a killer. I have arthritis and can't hardly get it to turn, and using it on tile or wood flooring it has a tendency to follow the grooves so I have to pick it up and move it where I need to go next.

    not bad, not great either

    It seems to get clogged easier than my old Dyson, I also runs hotter. None of these make it bad, it is still better than what the other manufactures . I am still happy with my purchase. Also even thou it gets clogged you can access every part of the airway with no tools, great design!

    Worst vacuum ever made. Heavy, hose attachments are difficult to use. If I could return it I would. Just threw 700 out the window.

The Dyson Cinetic is a heavier machine; one thing that you may notice, however, is the brush bar of your machine may help to move the machine along the carpet due to the natural rotation of the brush bar.

      With regard to the hose, I can confirm that we would essentially expect the hose to become more flexible with time and use. A few tips we can provide would be attaching your accessories directly to your hose, as this will also help expedite stretching the elasticity of the hose. Dyson vacuums are engineered with versatility in mind and attachments may be used on either the wand or directly on the machine itself for added convenience. Also, when stretching the hose out we would recommend starting by stretching the part of the hose that is nearest to the vacuum first when extending this part to clean your home. We would actually recommend checking to ensure the wand is not obstructed and that the hose is not sucking into itself as the hose is not something we would expect to be an issue during use.

    Inferior quality not worth the price

    Purchased after having my last dyson all floor upright for nearly 10 years. Dyson has changed the materials to plastic and it’s simply not sturdy enough. The machine falls over when using the attachment hose. After a month the ball is now making terrible noises, overheats and fails to impress after spending $600. I will return for a refund or credit because the new models are all made out of plastic and put together so poorly it’s already cracking in several spots. Just disappointing.

    Don't spend the money on a Dyson . I got the Zero Filter Pet Dyson on 8-22-16 . It stop working today and took it back to Best Buy. I am an Elite Level customer , that means I spend too much at Best Buy , and got bounced to handle the problem direct on my own with Dyson . Now Dyson wants me to drive over an hour to get this thing worked on or go with the mailing option at my expense . Thus leaving me with out a vacuum till who knows when ...

      Thanks for your review. We're very sorry to hear your machine seems to have stopped working. This is very unusual to hear and it appears there may be some confusion regarding warranty repair. Most issues can be resolved with some quick checkpoints with a Dyson expert over telephone, live chat, or email. If the issue persists we can obtain the assistance of a certified Dyson technician.

      As your machine was purchased in August, it would certainly still fall under the Dyson warranty. In this case, we offer the ability to pursue free shipping to and from our designated Dyson service center. No charge is applied for shipping and diagnosis of the machine under warranty. Repairs are also completed and returned within 7-10 business days.

    Disappointed with this model

    Purchassed 4 months ago. Not likeing this model. It worked great the first month. Since then diesnt work as well noticeably less suction. I have to go much slower tgen i did with previous Dyson model we had. The bigest thing is the smell. It smell like something is burning when using the last 2 months. Nothing is clogged, no hair around the brush. House smells for hours after using. We upgraded to thus model since we got a rescue Border Collie for Christmas and very disappointed. Currently not recommending this model to other family members or friends.

    Too complicated

    I wanted something simple and easy to navigate. When I took this home it was too difficult to figure out all the parts etc. I purchased a small Miehl instead and am much happier with it.

    Not the best vacuum. The filter gets plugged quickly and needs to be cleaned weekly or it stops working. When it’s working, it does a good job.
