Overall a fantastic vacuum for my apartment, but could be better for the price. First the cons: Cord is not retractable, tedious to disassemble and swap to attachments, feels like cheap plastic would be easy to break, wish hose was longer, not sure how long it will last. And now the pros: Strong suction, easy to empty dustbin, lots of attachments, complimentary attachment storage bag, beautiful aesthetics, maneuvers through the house easily. Overall happy with this purchase.

Hands down one of the best, I bought this for my brother while he was on vacation on his honeymoon. I have a dyson at home, but I wanted something more for him. I have the Dyson Animal and Allergy older model (2014) and this is upgraded. I could smell the difference in the house after I used this vaccum. He has a cat and a dog that shed. I seriously had to empty the canister 7 times. A downfall of this vacuum is the size of the canister, however, if you dont have an animal, if shouldnt be an issue. But regardless dont let this bother or deter you from buying this model. It is amazing and now i want this model.

I've bought all the Dyson's this one is a step down from the last one I bought, the stand is going to break, it's not sturdy enough, the suction is great, but it's heavier. I still believe Dyson is the best, but when I wait 5 years to buy a new one I expect a major improvement,i feel let down

I love this vacuum and is worth every dollar I spent. It’s true that it never looses its suction I have spent thousands of dollars on vacuums that doesn’t last long so I decided to treat myself instead of beating myself on buying a vacuum every other year

The most powerful vacuum I've ever owned. canister fills up even when the floor appears to be clean by the naked eye. Only downside is it is pretty bulky and heavy

We have lots of dogs in the house and this vacuum works like a champ with all of the hair. The attachments that come with the vacuum at good quality and allow for some hard to get to places to be vacuumed well. This vacuum performs just like you expect a Dyson to perform.

I bought this to replace my old Dyson vacuum which was about 8 years old. I currently have 2 huskies, and a German shepard. This vacuum makes it like they aren't even there. I get compliments on how well my carpet is kept considering I live with 3 of the worst shedding dogs

I am 66, and over the years I have had a lot of different vacuums. I have always relied on Consumer Reports in the past. Now with the internet the reviews are much easier to review. This one came in first place in most and second place in the rest so I bought it. By far the best and easiest to use vacuum I have ever owned. I would recommend to anyone that has a variety of vacuum chores. There are better "one-trick-ponies" if you only clean carpets or if you only clean hard floors because of the price. I clean everything in my house with this one. Couldn't be happier. Pricy yes, but worth it.

I have had 3 Hoover vacuums in the last 5 years - I thought they were doing a good job. I have 2 black labs - Hair!!!! I just purchased this Dyson 2 weeks ago and I love it! It is very powerful and love that I do not have to carry the vacuum up each step to clean the stairs!

Been using cheaper vacuums for years, I thought they all did the same. But after using this the first time on our carpeted lounge and seeing the stuff it picked up I was instantly impressed. I thought we don't d a good job at keeping the house clean... Now I know we do.

I will never buy anything else! I have alot of allergies and pets. I have to say this picks up everything and its easy to use.

I bought the new Cinetic Big Ball to replace a previous Dyson I had for 8-10 years. The suction is even better than before and the whole house smells and feels cleaner. The ball is a bit tricky at first especially on hardwood floors but you soon get use to it in no time.

This is my 2nd Dyson. The suction is far better than the old one, and it's easier to maneuver around furniture. There is a small issue with the wheels not staying locked when I tilt the machine back, but I've discovered that if I tilt it about 45 degrees, it works fine.

We have a cat, a German Shepherd, and a Beagle, and as such have always dealt with a lot of pet hair. Other vacuums either got clogged, were not easy to empty (always had to take the filter sections out and pull fur out by hand), and had poor tools for cleaning things like the stairs or furniture. This Cintiq has an excellent wand that has a separate mechanism to keep the brushes spinning, even as things get pulled in. The adjusting head is nice for all our carpet and our hardwood living room. My only gripe is that we read that it was safe to use some of the baking soda based deodorizers that we've always used with our old vacuum, but using this was apparently abrasive enough to scuff the inside of the dirt bin. It's not as pristine and crystal clear, which kinda sucks since we've only had it for a month, but at the end of the day that doesn't impact how well it works - just an aesthetic thing.

This machine out performs my old Animal Dyson which died after 7 yrs of hard use. Having 2 huskies that seem to shed year round. Its amazing how much fine dust it pulls up making the carpet look like new again ! The only draw back is that have to empty it more often.

Never going to buy another vacuum, Dyson is the way to go. Have two cats and the extra pet hair attachment works great for picking up pet hair off furniture. Definitely glad we spent the extra money and got the Animal, if you have pets I highly recommend this vacuum.

This is by far the most amazing vacuum I have ever used! I’ve owned many different brands and this one left me speechless. While cleaning the place we were moving from I used it to vacuum the place where a wall unit had been for many years and dust had accumulated. After ONE PASS with this Dyson we were shocked. The carpet was a much deeper richer color than we had remembered. The amount of dust and grime which it can pull out of a carpet left me in awe. Not only does it do an amazing job, it’s easy to assemble and disassemble to clean.

Hands down, the best vacuum I have owned. I had read reviews about the Dyson being to heavy, the ball being a nuisance. Toss those issues out. For what it does (cleaning). Any issues you would have with the weight or ball will be forgotten after the first use.

I wore out my first Dyson (8+ years old)! And in a pinch to get a new vacuum quickly, to get the cleaning done, I bought another name brand; it was a waste of my money. I HAVE MY DYSON BACK and LOVE IT!!

Great product if you take care of it and don’t abuse it. Easy to use but not invincible from dings, drops and abuse. Certain parts could be reinforced, but overalll a solid machine. If you can spare the coin, a great product to invest in.
