The vacuum lives up to the billing. It glides across most surfaces with relative ease and the suctioning power is outstanding. Maybe a little too good. It is difficult for me to vacuum over rugs in our house that have longer fibers. It's hard to push over those thicker rugs. But otherwise, it's a well-made vacuum with a plethora of attachments for maximum flexibility.

Overall this is a great vacuum with a lot of attachments included. This was an upgrade over our 5-6 year old Dyson that was this one's equivalent when we purchased it (Animal Complete). This one has better suction and the handle feels more sturdy than the prior version (it would bend/flex a lot easier on the last model), it also has improved tools but the storage bag is not as nice as the prior version. The only reason I wouldn't rate this 5/5 is because you have to completely unwind the power cord to use the hose and attachments. I'm honestly a bit surprised they haven't come up with an auto-retracting assembly that eliminates all the cord winding.

I absolutely love this vacuum. It picks up everything.. I was a little embarrassed when I vacuumed with it the first time. I had to empty the canister twice, and that was after vacuuming with my old vacuum. It is very easy to maneuver, is lightweight, has a perfect length cord, and makes my carpet look brand new. It not only sucks up everything off the floor, it fluffs the carpet and makes it feel so soft. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone

This vacuum is really easy to use and easy to clean, it has a great suction and it cleans really good carpets and hardwood floors, great vacuum!!!

Pickup up most everything including dog hair. Light enough for the wifey. Easy emptying and cleanable canister. Moving it during vacuuming takes a little getting use to. Very nice try it it you’ll like it.

This vacuum works amazing. I had the Dyson Animal Ball before purchasing this one and it picks up so much better and is easier to use. Love it...

Vacuum is very versatile and works great on both carpet and hardwood. Is does wonders for steps with picking up dog hair. Overall great purchase.

Easy to use attachments, suction is really good also. Only complaint I have is that is doesn't lie flat to vacuum under the bed.

I found the ball a little heavier to push. We had an old Dyson for years and finally had to get a new one. All we could find was the ball. The vacuum works well, but is a title hard to get used to.

The new vacuum is much more powerful than the one we had. The only difference is the newer version is heavier and a little harder to maneuver.

Great vacuum! Very powerful, I have cats and it picks up way more fur than you thought was there. Easy use and maneuver around. Simple cleaning.

This is the best vacuum, it goes effortlessly from carpet to tile, the suction is powerful, and is great for pet hair. I was not sure how it would work on the allergens, but it has made a noticeable difference in our house.

Purchased this Dyson to replace our Dyson DC07. The ball was awkward at first, but after using it a couple of times it became second nature. The vacuum does an excellent job picking up dog hair from both high and mid pile carpet and does great on hard surfaces with the brush turned off. It also raises the carpet fibers back up leaving it much softer similar to having the carpet cleaned. The accessories are easy to use and seem to be well made. If you are a Dyson fan and you are looking to upgrade, you will not be disappointed.

My wife and I have a large house with 3 kids, a cat and a hairy white Golden Retriever. Our longtime vacuum of choice was a Kenmore that was highly recommended by Consumers Reports many years ago. The Kenmore finally gave up the ghost and so off to Best Buy we went to get a new vacuum. The Dyson Big Ball Animal was clearly the best vacuum sold by Best Buy and we got it for an incredible price of $209 with a price match. To say this vacuum has met our expectations is an understatement. It is incredibly powerful and the amount of dirt and hair it picks up, even in areas that we had just vacuumed with our Kenmore just before it broke, is amazing. The vacuum is also versatile, it can fit within many tight areas. The attachments cover the gamut, including for stairs, vents, drapes and furniture. Switching to using one of the attachments is drop dead easy. The vacuum is made almost entirely of plastic, yet its still solid, plus its relatively light. Emptying the canister is very easy. In summary, this vacuum makes me want to vacuum the house. Buy with confidence!!!

much heavier machine than the precious model; larger motor, better suction and still gets into the smaller areas that our Kirby just can't.

This vacuum is the best vacuum I’m ever had. It single handedly defeated an issue we had with fleas after we’d tried everything but our apartment wasn’t properly treating. And after all this time it’s never lost suction.

I did a lot of research when looking into making this purchase. When I took it home, it was not hard to assemble, and it was immediately used for a test run. We have a iRobot for everyday use and thought it was doing a pretty good job. I was wrong! The Dyson picked up so much dirt and dust that I was embarrassed of my floors. We have two dogs and along with my long hair, it can become quite painful to clear up all the hair. There is an option to turn off the brush, so the hair doesn't get too tangled into the brush. Great option!

The Dyson Animal is a terrific vacumm! I have 3 dogs: 40#, 60#, & 70#. There is always lots of hair on the floor every day. The Dyson Animal picks it all up! It is also very maneuverable to get under things.

I've had a Kirby since 2002. Dyson blows it away, there is no comparison. Must have for every home! Quick, effortless and powerful.
