This definitely does the trick, but my one complaint is that it feels somewhat cheap in terms of quality. The handle is concerning with how cheap the plastic feels and the plastic bits that hold the cord don’t seem like it will stand the test of time.

Posted .Hi, this is Jay with Dyson. Dyson brush bars have a row of anti-static carbon fiber filaments to remove fine dust from hard floors, and stiff nylon brushes remove ground-in dirt from carpets. There's no need to adjust anything when moving from one floor type to another. With the exception that this one seems bigger and more powerful, I have my doubts about delivering and all the good things that it claims. It is by far the most expensive dyson product we have purchased. Not sure I would recommend this particular model.

Posted .Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry that you seem unsure, thus far in your use, on the performance of your new Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal + Allergy vacuum. Dyson Cinetic machines are our first machines to feature no filters to wash or replace, thanks to the oscillating Dyson Cinetic tips located in the cyclone pack. The Dyson Cinetic is a heavier machine; one thing that you may notice, however, is the brush bar of your machine may help to move the machine along the carpet due to the natural rotation of the brush bar. Also, rest assured, Dyson machines are made from polycarbonate ABS, which is same material used in riot shields and crash helmets. They are tough, so we subject them to 50,000 hours of testing and 550 individual tests – all to ensure that they can withstand a lifetime’s hard use.
