Warm Sleeper

Quite a novelty fan

Our master bedroom is approximately 450-500 square feet and gets very warm during summer because we live in southern Arizona. We were hoping this fan would help circulate the air and cool our room, but even at its highest setting (10) we can hardly feel the breeze from the fan when our bed is 6-7 feet away from it. As for the noise, even at its highest setting it was not an issue for us, but we are also accustomed to having a regular fan and our ceiling fan running together all day and night. This fan is not a true "cooling fan", as it does not use AC refrigerant to actually cool the air, so it is much more of an 'air amplifier' and will circulate your own AC system's cool air when the AC is on. Overall, I am disappointed that the strength of the fan at its highest setting is not significant, and that this fan does not perform much better than a normal fan or tower fan. It does have some upsides though: It looks futuristic, comes with a handy remote to control the fan settings, and it is bladeless, which is good if you have little ones or pets. We will be returning this fan and looking into buying a single split-system AC unit for our bedroom to solve our heat issue.

We can confirm, our air purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air.
