Oh my gosh do not waste your $. I can get a better straight job with a $20 Ross straightener from Hong Kong. This is so not worth the price. Maybe 5 years from now I’ll notice less breakage but who cares. My hair will be frizzy and look stupid till then.

The Dyson Corrale hair straightener is beautifully and thoughtfully designed like no hair straightener I have seen before. This hair straightener can be used cordless for 2-3 times when fully charged (depending on how long it takes to style your hair), and can be used with the charging cord attached. You can use the charger and cord alone, or with the charging dock, handy if you want to store the straightener on your counter. The cord has a clever magnetic attachment. The Corralle comes in a beautiful midnight blue storage pouch and is loaded with safety features. Its design prevents you from burning your hands or face when using the straightener, plus a travel switch that prevents the appliance from heating when stored. Unlock the straightener, press the on button, and select one of the three heat settings. the unit heats in just a few seconds—no kidding! When done, press the on/off button and a light flashes until the unit is safely cooled. Set the travel switch if needed, lock it, and store it in its case or on he charging dock. I live in a humid climate that is not kind to my coarse, wavy hair. I typically let my hair dry naturally and apply a protective hair product before using an electric straightener. I tried the Dyson appliance on three different days and used each of the three heat settings. I need the medium and height heat settings to style my hair with a slight curl on the ends. This straightener seems to let me style my hair faster than my usual straightener, with less total heat, possibly preventing long-term damage. Pros: great design, precise temperature control, flexible straightening plates, safety features, heavy-duty charger and power cord, fast heating and faster than normal hair styling. Cons: much heavier than the typical hair straightener, bulky and heavy charger, dock and cord are not the best if you want to travel light. Quite costly. I would rate this straightener a 5 if not for these two issues.

This is not a good product. It doesn’t get the root of the hair. Leaves hair frizzy and it take way too long to blow dry and straighten the hair. It only allows you to grab little pieces of hair. So if you have long, thick, curly hair, it doesn’t work well. Also in my opinion not user friendly. Do not recommend!

Very disappointed I bought this item for my wife she said this product was damaging her hair as she was trying to iron her hair. I don’t recommend this hair iron for the price it was very disappointing.

In the box is the straightener, a foldable stand, the power cord, an instructional booklet and informational QR codes. First impression - This straightener is a little on the heavy side, the cord is super long and I am love with magnetic charging plug. Out of the box, I plugged in straightener because when I turned it on, it dinged at me and showed me the charge symbol. I wasn’t really paying attention to it but when you charge, the small light is ember. After 45 minutes, I noticed there was no light anymore, so I turned it on and the light was green and the display showed the battery was full and the wanted me to set the straightener temperature. Just a little disclaimer, I have biracial, super thick, 3a/3b hair and its super frizzy. I haven’t been flat ironing my hair for a while now because I have to have high heat to completely straighten my hair and it normally has a burnt smell the whole time I am wearing it straight and I really hate that. It normally takes me about one to two hours (that includes the drying time) to perfectly straighten my hair. Because my hair is so thick, I have to straighten thinner pieces and it have the run the flat iron through my hair ten times to get my hair smooth. I normally flat iron my hair at 450 degrees but the Dyson only goes to 410 degrees. I put heat protectant in my hair and blew it dry and then I straightened the first few pieces of sectioned hair and it straightened really good. Like better than the salon good. So I started to do larger pieces and figured out that if I go really slow, I only have to go through my hair with one swipe. The battery almost lasted the whole time but since I have really long hair, I figured I would probably have to charge. I ended up letting it charge for about 15 minutes and then I finished the rest of my hair. Once I finished, I was an awe. My hair hasn’t been this easy and as straight with little effort in a long time and now that I have all of the products, I can definitely see myself wearing my hair straight a little more often now. There was a slight freshly pressed smell but no where nearly as bad as it used to be. On day 3 with my straight hair, I did need to straighten some pieces on the back of my neck and around my hairline and I was able to straighten them with less heat. Overall, I LOVE this product and I would recommend it to friends and family! I can definitely see myself buying again!

I have a few hair straighteners but don’t use them on myself very often. I have what I have figured out to be curl type 1B hair. That is, very straight, medium to coarse hair that may or may not hold a curl. Generally, my hair doesn’t hold a curl. That was something I was curious about this Dyson product. I want to create some kind of curl or wave without too much effort. My hair length is just past my shoulders. I already own the original Dyson hair dryer, so I know how good Dyson hair products are. This one is right up there with the hair dryer. When I was unboxing this straightener, I had to marvel at the thoughtful packaging. I believe there was only one piece of plastic in the box, the rest was paper and paperboard. The heat resistant travel pouch is very nice, but I haven’t used it yet. I had to clear my bathroom countertop off so I could fit my new straightener in somewhere. A few hours later, I set up my straightener. The power cord is nice and long so I can plug it in and maneuver the cord how I need to to get it where I want to keep it on my countertop. I got the copper colored device. My Dyson hairdryer is dark silver and fuschia so they don’t match, but that’s okay. Testing: I finally got to the testing part! First problem is that I don’t have any sectioning clips. Those are now on the way, as I see that they will be very helpful in using this device. I used a heat resistant comb to help do my hair. I used the first level of heat, which is 330F. I found that 330F wasn’t hot enough for my hair to hold a small curl, which was just at the bottom of the length of my hair. So I tried the next heat level which is 365F, and that worked much better. The curls that I was able to get without proper sectioning clips were decent, and I think they lasted long enough to say that they held. I didn’t do anything exciting after I did my hair, just basic around the house stuff, and my hair looked good until I woke up the next morning. I noticed that the hair looked shinier after using the straightener. That seems to happen after I use my Dyson hairdryer too. I’m not a hairstylist so I can’t really explain the science there but I think it has something to do with the hair cuticle being sealed up with the heat or something. When I used the straightener I didn’t get those familiar single hair pulls like I do when I use a regular hair straightener. That might be the flexing plates at work. After using the straightener for a bit I realized I wasn’t going to get my fingers burned as with a regular straightener. That’s a huge plus as I’m terrified of burning my fingers, so I felt comfortable using this device. I never needed to use the highest temperature setting of 410F. This device heats up quickly, and jumps to the next level of heat quickly too. Most women are better at curling their hair than me, so I’m sure there are many other looks that can be done with this device, it’s not just for straightening. As far as being able to take this straightener out of the house in the heat resistant pouch. I don’t think I could take this on vacation with me for more than one use, as by the time I was finished using it, the battery was noticeably reduced. I could probably get two full uses out of it before it needed a charge. I could see taking it to the gym to do my hair there and plugging it at home later. The cord is fairly bulky, but if you really wanted to take it with you on a longer trip it’s do-able. The straightener itself weighs 1.38 pounds, but it’s not like a regular straightener since it’s cordless. This is a really great device and I’m glad I added it to my beauty arsenal. I feel like I can’t go wrong with a Dyson product, they are just so well designed.

The Dyson Corrale Hair Straightener is a really good hair straightener with a lot of great features. It is cordless with a rechargeable battery. I love how quickly it heats up and you can select one of three temperature settings. There is also an airplane setting, so that the it can be transported safely in an airplane. I used the straightener on my medium long hair after it had air dried. The straightener quickly took my hair from wavy and slightly frizzy to sleek and straight. I also love how the ends of my hair can easily be curled with the rounded barrel of the straightener. Others tend to make the ends more of a box curl. The hair can be straightened very close to the scalp without burning the skin. In fact, I never felt my hair or head get too heated on the middle setting. I really enjoyed using it cordlessly, since you don’t have to work around the cord. I did try it while it was plugged in and the cord is a little cumbersome since it’s so heavy. I also like the stand it comes with to store it while not using or charging. My only complaint really is the heaviness and circumference of the straightener. It’s a very heavy styling tool, so when straightening your whole head, it may cause fatigue for your arm/hand. If used for touch ups or to curl under ends of already straightened hair, it would be fine. The barrel is really big too and since I have small hands, it was slightly uncomfortable. Overall, I do like how it works and the cordless feature is awesome. It also comes with a heat resistant pad that it also a case and the already mentioned stand. Not sure how much it would travel with it when flying, but I know I can if I needed to.

I have always used inexpensive straighteners. To be honest, I have never seen the point in paying high prices for brand names. This Dyson Straightener hasn't quite changed my mind. The good: My hair is sleek and smooth with no frizz or fly aways. It feels gentle on my hair. The straighener heats quickly and maintains its heat through the entire styling process. Definitely feels well made and sturdy. Styling is easier and much faster. I only need two passes for my 2C/3A curls where I needed 4 with an inexpensive iron. The cons: This straightener Is HEAVY. I was surprised at how weight it is when I took it out of the box. It gives it a premium feel, but it is a work out jist styling my hair. The second con is the price. I usually believe in "Buy nice or buy twice" but the cost of this straightener is so far above others products. It is more than twice the price of its nearest competitor. Is it better? Yes, but I'm not sure its that much better. If you are a stylist that uses a Straightener multiple times a day, this is probably worth it. If you just use it at home, the cost may not be justified. Overall, this is a great, if pricey, product. If you're a professional or have the budget for the best of the best, this is perfect.

Im going to start by sating that my hair is a natural curly/wavy fine texture and very frizzy. I live in a hot and humid state so anytime I walk outside I'e had issues with my hair frizzing back up. With that said, I absolutely love this flat iron and here is why! 1. Im going to start with the appearance. I love the overall apperance of this flat iron. It is sleek, modern, and sexy. The color is absolutely gorgeous and just screams luxury! 2. The way this flat iron fits in my hand, is light weight, and comfortable while flat ironing my hair is a huge plus for me. 3. It is easy to use, has an OLED screen, and has temperature adjusting. I love how it displays everything for me to see. 4. Im obsessed eith the flexing plates and how this flat iron truly smooths my hair of frizz and guves me a straight flawless look. It doesnt pull strands of my hair, glides through my hair with ease, and i dont have to keep passing it through my hair a million times. One to two swipes gives me a straight frizz free look! 5. I absolutely love that it can be used cord free... personally i hate having a cord get in my way. This makes it so much easier to get my hair done quicker. 6. I love how it adjusts the temp to my hair. If i grab a thicker section it will adjust on its own. 7. I love that it comes with a charging dock, heat resistant case for protection and a magnetic 360 charging device. Having these little accessories with it is great. Overall i am obsessed with this amazing flat iron for its ability to take the frizz in my hair, give me a flawless straight look in minutes, and how it leaves my hair feeling silky and healthy!

I love my new straightener! The rounded design allows me to use it as a quasi-curling iron as well. I’ve gotten many compliments since using from my “blow out” look. While I enjoy the cordless feature, the battery does not last very long. I suggest always having the cord handy, especially while traveling.

This straightener might look like your average straightener, but it’s definitely not! I absolutely love how healthy and sleek my hair feels after I use it. Of course, always use heat protectant when you are using any heat styling tool, but I love that Dyson really focuses on their hair styling tools reducing heat damage to the hair and ensuring that they can be versatile and used to create a variety of different hair styles and not just regular, sleek straight hair. The flexible plates in this straightener make it really easy to curl your hair with this straightener, which is a huge plus. I also love that it comes with a stand where you can charge the straightener, which leads me to the best part: it’s travel-safe and cordless (when charged)! You can literally take this on the go with you or walk around the house/move freely and the charge lasts a decent amount of time. It’s so convenient and useful and I can’t say enough good things about this straightener! If you’re on the fence about it, be assured you’re making a sound investment in your hair routine.

It’s an excellent product! I’ve used so many flat irons, different brands! This is the best one after being exposed to other products the last 30 years!

It works as expected for a Dyson but the battery life is way too short

I read the reviews about it suddenly dying after the first two years and I did not want to believe it after my Dyson Vacuum is still gong and lasted the test of time. But sadly 1 month past the 2 year warranty this thing stopped working it says it charges and fully charges but when you go to use it it turns off after less than a minute and is dead with no charge. I think Dyson cheaped out on the rechargeable battery. I am don't even want to take a chance on the newer Dyson - Airstrait straightener after this experience $500 spent and 2years later its just a paper weight.

Very good, value is just right, easy to use , convenient

I bought this for my wife 2X already. She says it's amazing when it works. The issue we've encountered on both straighteners is the wireless contact cord. In both instances the magnets becomes weak and the unit won't charge. I'm glad we picked up the extended warranty, but for $500 I would expect better quality.

After 2 years, when warranty expired its not charging anymore. i visited repair center and was told that battery died and just hold onthe unit as they dont have a way yet to repair it. Urgh. This is expensive item and not expecting the poor quality.
