Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DO NOT BUY THIS FLAT IRON unless you get the additional warrantee from BestBuy. I wish I had read these reviews before buying. Like a lot of other people, the battery died in my flat iron just after the 2 year warrantee expired. After a few more months, it won't even work while plugged in. I contacted Dyson who told me they couldn't do anything since it was out of warrantee. They gave me the number for their repair shop where I could take it to have the battery replaced. Since it's no where near my house, I called them to find out how much it would cost to replace the batteries and was quoted OVER $300. Complete and total rip off! Beyond livid that I spent over $500 on this for it to completely die in less than 3 years. I expected more from Dyson!

HUGE letdown
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gave this to wife as Christmas present. She loved it for a week till it stopped working. Would no longer charge. Tried everything we could think of. Called customer support with no luck. Value is 1* because it is so expensive yet died basically right out of the box. 5* on the quality of the product itself being very nice and beautifully packaged. Ease of use got a 3* due to the item being kinda heavy after holding for a few minutes.

My straightener stopped working just outside of the warranty period. I called to troubleshoot and Dyson said it was a non-repairable code. They do not stand behind their products and basically told me I am out of luck. Apparently this is a known issue with this product.
