I've had so many Dysons in my years. I think we have owned them all. This one is great, but you can not swap out batteries and the run time on this thing is kind of short. Why Dyson did not allow for battery swaps like the older versions blows me away. Take away one star because of that dumb mistake. Listen to the reviews Dyson, make the batteries swappable.

This is a great vacuum! The V10 cordless is light weight and the battery lasts a long time. I have the corded Dyson ball vacuum, also, and it is great. But, the V10 is so much lighter and more maneuverable. It is a joy to use. The battery, also, lasts longer than previous models.

Works well, but no extra batteries. Vacuum has three different suction levels. However the maximum drains the battery within minutes. It’ll last about 20 minutes before it runs out of power. At max levels it will heat up first before it runs out of power. However, I don’t understand why they couldn’t design one with an extra battery pack.

Not inexpensive but has great suction and when set on medium power which is more than enough it runs beyond the time I need to complete my 2 story house. I have 2 dogs and need to vacuum at least every other day and this makes it a lot easier than my old corded Shark.

Love this for quick vacuuming. It did a great job picking up pet hair off the stairs with the attachment. It has really good suction. Easy to install the charging station. It's sometimes hard to detach the stick from the main motor thing. I can't tell if it's dirty or what.

Needed a cordless vacuum, and what started out as a search for an inexpensive hand-held, turned out to be a lengthy research and testing of products, ending up with spending much, much more then what we had intended...we now prefer to use this over our SpeedQueen, lol!

Wish it stayed charged a little longer Picks up great

I had a v6 and it just did not have the power. The v10 has same power on medium speed as high speed on the v6. I can use it as a everyday vac but only because I only have carpet in the bedrooms. Still, it’s the best cordless out there with the power and battery life.

For a small place this would be good. Like my travel trailer. Unfortunately I have a 2200sqf house with pets and could not complete the whole house on one charge and the canister is very small. Expensive for just my trailer so I returned it and exchanged it for the corded animal vacuum.

I haven't stopped cleaning since I got this. Its so freeing not getting unplugged. I will say if you have a big house to vacuum I'm not sure the charge would hold. The dirt that has come off my couch and carpets is unbelievable. ITS MAKES MY TILE FEEL CLEAN.

We needed something portable and light weight. We have hardwood on both levels of our 2 story home and were tired of lugging our old Dyson up and down the stairs multiple times a week. It also cleans under beds really well with its swivel head design.

Love this Dyson...there is a huge difference in the Absolute vs the Animal version. My last was a V8 Animal, still have it but retired it so my hubby could use for his car. The V10 Absolute is far more powerful and runs much longer. I'm very happy I upgraded.

We had a older model Cyclone that was lasting about 20 minutes before needing a recharge . This V10 does last about an hour as we have yet to have the battery run down. The suction power is significantly better. I would highly recommend it.

I would have given 5 stars. But I feel that the battery life is not as good as advertised by Dyson. Otherwise a great vacuum. My favorite accessory is the soft felt brush for bare floors. We have a long haired cat and that is not a problem for this vacuum. Great on steps, saving my back. My chiropractor is losing money lol.

This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for. A long battery life, great attachments for any need and multiple suction levels. Only gets a 4 stars because the power switch requires you to depress it the entire time it’s in use. Shouldn’t have to do this at this price point but other then that it’s a great, light and convenient machine.

Overall, the vacuum works pretty well, especially for cordless. It would be great if the battery lasted longer. No way to eliminate a corded vacuum to clean a larger room yet. For the cost, I'm not totally convinced the convenience of no cord is enough justification... I would recommend it to a friend with the caveat about cord vs cost.

I was always against paying this much for a vacuum but I decided to take advantage of a no interest plan with bestbuy and I’m so glad I did! So convenient to have a stick vacuum to clean the house and it’s easy to maintain. Love it!

My wife loves it so much that I have not had to vacuum since we bought it. With our old upright, vacuuming the house was always my job. This Dyson is portable enough for her to do the stairs now and it is powerful enough to clean up after our three cats.

This vacuum is crazy powerful, does a great job cleaning. I chose the Absolute because of the attachments included, glad I did. The fuzzy roller attachment for hard wood floors is perfect for what I needed, it does not scratch the floor.
