He was right, cleans as good as my corded vac. WHAT HE LEFT OUT? the run time is 5 minutes on high speed. Cant clean my house in 5 lousy minutes, Low speed buys time but renders the vac pretty useless - I returned it

Dyson V10 Cyclone vacuums are our longest-lasting, and most powerful cord-free vacuums to date. There are three suction modes available on the V10 models: low, medium and high. Run time will vary, depending on the suction mode you use.

Great concept, poor execution

Unfortunately the 60 minute run time is with vacuum on low speed and NO electrical brush heads! Realistically, 20-25 min on high speed with motor head. Not enough time to do a touch up on just one floor of my medium sized home. The trigger has a tab that actually digs into the side of your finger. It actually hurts within 5 minuets. Wouldn’t be an issue if you didn’t have to hold the trigger to operate the vacuum. Suction is good on hardwood floors with a hardwood floor attachment. Brush head just kicked sand bits and crumbs around on hardwood floors and mediocre on shallow nap carpeting. The look and style are indeed attractive and after owning a DC-11 for 5 years with excellent support with any issues we thought a no brainer. After 2 weeks we returned it and went to a big ball. Another disappointment. Exchanged again and went back to a new version of ol reliable. “Big ball multifloor canister” I really hope this isn’t a sign of what’s to come with future Dyson products. All flash no function.

Posted .Hi there, this is Krystal with Dyson. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. The new Cyclone V10 is our longest running and most powerful cord-free to date. It has three different modes that provide different levels of suction and run time. The lowest mode, which runs for up to 60 minutes, is recommended for hard floors. The mid-mode is great for cleaning carpets and will give you about 20 minutes of run time with a motorized floor tool. The max mode has the lowest run time and should only be used for heavy duty jobs and removing dirt hidden deep in the carpet.
We know that battery run time is a very important aspect of performance for our owners, so we developed a trigger that helps maximize the amount of time you can clean on one charge. We chose a light-touch trigger over an on/off switch to ensure that battery life is never wasted by letting the machine run when it’s not in active use.
