I waited for the newer dyson design and the 90 day guarantee enticed me to dive in to the dyson absolute cyclone cord free vacuum. I am hooked! It is easy to learn and use. I use the vacuum for nearly an hour every day. We have a large dog and several people in my home. This is my favorite go to cleaning tool. We will see how I feel in another 60 days.

I was skeptical that a small cordless could take the place of a full size corded vacuum, but so far I'm impressed. The key to getting sufficient run-time from each charge is to use the appropriate power setting. Having had several of the earlier Dyson handheld units, I always used the highest setting, not necessary with this model.

I already own a Dyson upright ball vacuum and have been very happy with that. So I was super excited to get the new Dyson cordless V10 absolute model. This is all new redesign with some major improvements- Charges in 3.5 hours It has up to 60 minutes run time. It's 20% smaller than the previous models but more powerful up to 125,000 RPM which means a stronger suction. When you release the trigger, the motor immediately stops which makes it more efficient. Indicators inform you when to clean the filter, if there is a blockage and the battery power. There is 1 washable filter for easier maintenance. The polycarbonate bin is 40% larger with an easy "point and shoot" way to empty. The manual has some instructions and a lot of pictures/diagrams. So you will have to do some deciphering as to what it's trying to tell you what to do. The vacuum is well protected in the packaging yet it was still easy to unpack and assemble. Assembly is minimal. It just depends if you want to add the wand (27") and then the attachments or just add the attachments directly to the vacuum. You will have to fully charge the vacuum before initial use. It will not work while charging. The indicator shows it is charging but after it's fully charged the lights turn off. It would be nice to show that it's fully charged with a light on. I'm guessing they don't to save energy. There are 3 settings to the suction power. I didn't realize what setting I had it on initially and it was set on the maximum, so the run time on there was not 60 minutes. It was only about 10-15. I then adjusted the setting to medium and the run time increased to about 45 minutes. The attachments are super easy to click on and off so you can easily switch those out depending on your cleaning needs. This Dyson V10 Cyclone is such a great vacuum to have in the house. I wouldn't choose to have it be my only vacuum because I believe I still need the upright for my large house. Also pair that with the limited run time since it strictly works off of a rechargeable battery, I got stuck in the middle of larger projects waiting for it to fully recharge again. I would love the ability to use the vacuum while it's plugged in so I have the option to do cord or cordless. But I love the convenience of the wireless vacuum. I was able to easily clean my blinds, air vent overs, couches, car, kitchen floor. etc. It's very versatile. It's light enough too so it's easy to carry around the house and hold it up for extended periods of time. Emptying the bin is super easy and simple. You have to use a little arm muscle to release the latch and push the bin down to open it so you can empty it. There is even the option to completely remove the bin to clean it out and that's just an additional step after opening the bin. I had no problems doing it. I have not installed the docking station since I unfortunately do not have an outlet in my mud room closet or pantry. That would be my ideal place to store it on a wall. So I have to think about where I want the vacuum to be out and visible on a wall. I think the Dyson V10 Cyclone is an absolute must in your Dyson vacuum arsenal. I think it's a great combination with my Dyson upright. I pretty much have everything covered with owning the 2 together.

Love the vacuum without a cumbersome cord. No issue in battery time. Should have bought it sooner! One issue was with the price match guarantee. 18 days after the vacuum was delivered, I saw it $100 cheaper in Target. Best Buy would NOT price match since it was 3 days beyond the 15 day standard... That was very disappointing they would not make an allowance for this given the relatively short window...

After replacing my V6 with this new V10 I love it even more!

Being dog owners, we frequently have hair throughout our home that takes over our laminate floors, carpets and furniture. We put the Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute to the test and were pleasantly surprised with the results. The vacuum itself is trendy and modern looking with flashy colors and a unique design immediately attracting consumers. The biggest selling point for this vacuum, in my opinion, is that it is lightweight and cordless making it a modern vacuum. My fiancé and I have been held back in the stone age of using a heavy canister vacuum that had terrible suction power leaving our house dirty even after vacuuming over the carpets numerous times. The Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute picked up dirt, dog hair and even some rocks from our floors proving its suction power is exceptional. We were both blown away at how the attachment or crevice tool cleaned our stairs leaving them spotless and looking brand new. The cyclone features a rotating head for hard to reach spots such as corners where dirt builds up and multiplies making cleaning unstoppable in comparison to our old vacuum. Overall, the vacuum was easy to assemble and easy to figure out without using the user manual. The cyclone was also easy to detach if one desires to use the handheld portion of the vacuum which we did to deep clean our furniture and stairs and was easy to reassemble to the full upright position. Although, the vacuum has amazing suction power I would say the vacuum chamber fills rather quickly leading the user to empty the chamber of dirt more frequently than not which isn’t necessarily a bad thing when you’re saying goodbye to all dirt and debris in your household. Another, unfortunate drawback of this vacuum is the battery life is rather short. When we first opened the vacuum we immediately put it on high power and went to work cleaning our house and within twenty minutes the battery had died and required charging through the outlet which delayed our cleaning. Dyson has been honest about the limited battery life in the Dyson v8 Absolute but the battery should ultimately be improved in the long run for it to be competitive even with a cord vacuum as consumers want to vacuum on demand and not have the inconvenience of charging it before cleaning. An important tip to note is if the user switches out of high power cleaning mode to the standard cleaning power the battery will last longer and it still does a phenomenal job, no real need to use the high power. The vacuum also features a grip button located right at the top of the vacuum which can be inconvenient as it is easily hit as it is sensitive so if you’re bending down to check on your carpet it may go off. The grip button could easily be a concern for an older person struggling with arthritis as you have to hold down the grip button, but having it be sensitive to touch is a big plus. The price of this vacuum may be too steep for most consumers to even consider, but with its unbeatable suction power, lightweight design and rotating vacuum head, it’s a no brainer that this vacuum is a "must have" item for every home. This vacuum has made me say goodbye to my old canister and made me excited to vacuum more frequently without the struggle of lugging around a heavy vacuum and unwinding the cord. It allows me to spend less time trying to suck up dirt and debris as the Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute absolutely leaves my floors spotless on the first try.
