Not worth the increase in price over the V8

The V10 offers slightly better battery and more suction, but the V8 does the job. It's not worth it to upgrade to the V10, and honestly, if you're new to Dyson you should probably try the V8 first and get much better value for your money.

We hear they clean more often, but in shorter bursts, spending less than 20 minutes per clean. The new Cyclone V10 vacuum offers our longest run time. It runs for up to 60 minutes on a full charge, or about 35 minutes when using a motorized floor tool.

Battery dies within 10 minutes

Got home, charged it up, and began vacuuming. on the same high level, only to have the battery last about 5 minutes if even that. Turns out that is about all it can do on high. It performs adequately at the (recommended) lowest level but that is not how it was described to me when I bought it. 3.5 hours to charge, 5 to 10 minutes per cahrge. I have a large house and two large, long-haired dogs. If the expert had been honest I would have purchased the same model I was there to replace, not the cordless version. My mistake. Recommend Dyson do what Shark does and use removable batteries that can be swapped out if necessary.
